Afternoon all from a dark, drear and damp Dorset. At least I can get a wifi signal here, whereas in Wales all weekend I could not get even a signal for the phone. With a fellow Horn we managed to get a weak radio signal so managed to get the football scores on 5live. Still I am here now and have managed to get a few real ales down just to treat myself. Great to see friends of sixty years again and it has been agreed to have a few more get togethers before any of us start turning up wearing the black ties. Catching up on the results, we seem to be getting a tally of points now that we hoped for and another 1,500 on the crowd would have taken the figure up to where the owners want to be. Hope that all are in good spirits. Rarely touch them myself, but the bottles of Bordeaux that I brought over have been greatly appreciated.
Greetings from the next county, Frenchie...it's pretty grim here too but nothing that a pre-dinner pastis won't put into perspective

Morning all, it is very, very wet in Dorset today. In my part of France it is warm and sunny. Looks as if we might need the car for a trip to the pub.
afternoon all! I've heard, as has Dan, that Nick Cox is going to SU...not Cardiff...i think that's where Stephenson is, isn't it? Hope your break is lovely despite the weather M Frenchie
Afternoon from a wet and drab bandit country - car is poorly and in the garage so WFH today! Hope you are engoing Dorset OFH - my fav county....on that topic, one of the old boys I go to football with was born in Dorset and announced this Sat that he was going his home town of Dorchester play them in the next round of the cup. Will be interesting as he causes mayhem wherever he goes!
here you can vote for player of the month, I'm voting Tommie Hoban http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12040/8261875?
To say that it is wet is putting it kindly here. Lanes are flooded, rivers are over their banks and it makes it quite difficult to get to the next pub by the quickest route. Dinner tonight is reputed to be very good, just hope that the river Piddle has not overflowed to prevent us getting there.
evening all...just off to bed. It's been a long day...makes you wonder why i make it longer by sitting up half the night! ! night night!
You're up half the night I'm up early in the morning for no apparent reason, having a cup of tea at 5am just because I can! What's that all about?
Góðan daginn öll. Cappuccino, coffee, tea donuts and fruit are on the bar. I think today a large bowl of glögg is required. Today is -3C and we have more snow everywhere in the region. The only places which do not have snow predicted for today are in the east at Raufarhöfn and Ãsbyrgi, but things could be different in 20 minutes. The local paper is saying HusavÃk is to have clean sidewalks and leave the streets covered with snow to encourage people to walk, We would just put stud tires on the cars.
Probably depends on the class of the "lady"? On a serious note, I see there is a vacancy in West London this afternoon - I don't expect that they will be looking a little further north at an ex-player, well I hope not!
GZ,nice guy as you probably are,on the basis of not an entirely successful time at West Ham and won 8 lost 7 with your new club, wouldnt wait in for Mr Ab's knock on the door. Gotta be better off out of it anyway Mr Z, although like most you'd probably succumb to the dosh.
