I remember the Barry Dyson model, not trendy nor brightly coloured, but there was certainly power in its shot. It certainly could have taken us to the top, but couldn't sustain the workrate expected by Ken Furphy.
Nah but what do you expect from Jafas (Just Another Flipping Aucklander - polite version). That's what you get if you live in a part of the country with no sheep.
ditto...i started watching Mississippi burning...big mistake...think i'll have to record the rest! lol..night Dan, sweet dreams
Morning all from a windy Jersey. As mentioned in my previous post, I have my appointment with the neurologist today, and based on me continuing to have seizures every 3 - 6 months, I think my medication will be either increased or changed, with the increase being more likely. A follow-on to my mention of pie's homework yesterday. I spoke to him yesterday evening - he had Chemistry yesterday and the teacher admitted there was an error in that question.
Morning all, we had rain overnight and although there is broken cloud about now, it is dry. Been having a search for news, but there is not much about today. However I am expecting ak to get out and about to get us some shots of people from the A list if this report can be believed. Talking of questionable PR, look no further than Wow air - a new low-cost airline that is imploring travellers to visit Iceland, the “hottest place to travel at the moment”. Apparently, stars including Tom Cruise, Morgan Freeman, Ben Stiller, Russell Crowe, Anthony Hopkins, Jennifer Connelly and Emma Watson (to name just a few) are “flocking” to the country. If you’re lucky you might even bump into them as they walk “freely” in the streets of Reykjavik and enjoy its restaurants and bars. Sounds like a stalker’s paradise.
Thirty years ago to this day. I was there, anyone else? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MILTzt5Vdo This was what is was like in those days, a packed ground and fabulous entertainment.
A game I would like to attend. If I could time travel I would go to that game and the Kaiserslautern UEFA cup match.
I was lucky enough to be there. I flew back to Oz on the Monday after that - was still so high that I could have done it without the aeroplane. I still get teary-eyed when I think back on that game - and the earlier 4-1 victory at Southampton...the 3-0 against WBA....the 2-0 against Everton - what an introduction to the top flight that was. Where's the tissues........
afternoon all ...30 years eh...i was abroad that year...typical! Thanks for the coffee Ak, i helped myself Good luck with the appointment Barry
I was there - I had a season ticket in the Family Enclosure along with my Dad, Mum and a little sister who didn't want to be there. At my appointment, I was told that for one of my tablets, I was close to the daily allowance and the other that I was on it so I've been given an additional tablet to take at night. Problem is that I can only get it through the hospital so I have to phone the hospital each time I have to order a repeat prescription instead of getting it through my GP with the rest of my medication. On the plus side, the doctor was satisfied that the frequency of my seizures was low enough that she didn't have to see me for 6 months.
I was there - one of my Directors was also a Sunderland Director and was in the USA so I got a programme and put it under his windscreen wiper for when he returned - he was not amused
