Greetings all Back from my travels. Very tired etc.... so will ease back in to things slowly over the next couple of days. Things not looking to good at the mo. for the Orns..... eh..
Right, I am off to The Vic COYH Good to see you back Yorkie and looking forward to hearing some of your travel stories..
Guys and gals, if you are attending the match today the club are asking you to turn up early as technical problems could mean delays at entry.
There are problems with their servers and you will only be able to use cash for anything in the ground. Hope that Hornet Player is OK
Aternoon all from a very pleasant autumnal day here in Gloucestershire Just been into town to pick up last minute.com things for our holiday and I still have to go to JJB to look for another pair of dookers I have 3 pairs of trunks but one pair really is threadbare, the elasticity has started to go and I know if I don't get another pair they will go whilst I am away and holiday prices are just stupidly high Anyway must go will be back in plenty time for kick off U'Orns
After the problems for some getting to Hornet Player through the official site and the reported issues at the ground today, there is a direct link. http://www.player.watfordfc.com/
Afternoon all from a sunny Jersey. My Mum is over and the boys and I went with her to Durrell (fka Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, before that Jersey Wildlife Preservation Trust, and when I first moved here Jersey Zoo). pie has had to go and do something Scouting this afternoon, after an emergency call from his Mum just after 1 when the person who was originally supposed to help had to drop out because she had to work.
Evening all. I've just been to a pre season frienly between Wellington Phoenix and West Sydney Wanderers. Such is the lack of football here another eight and a half thousand went too. The game was entertaining but not of a particularly high standard. The Phoenix have signed a new winger from the Solomon Islands. He reminds me of Worrell Stirling - good on the ball but easily knocked off it. At the game we were offered cut price tickets for the world cup qualifier against Tahiti, next month. So I'll be going to that. If any programme collectors are interested I could see if I can get programmes for them. I have no idea how much they will cost but I would expect between GBP2.50 and GDP5.00. The tickets only cost GBP13.00. The stadium is a temporary one built after the earthquake. The stands are all on scaffolding and the place looks a bit makeshift but the atmosphere was great. Apparently it holds 18500. It has a lot more atmosphere than some modern purpose built stadia I have been to. Oh! and the result was 1-1.
Morning all Chucking it down here again. Some good skills on offer yesterday but defensive organisation was sadly lacking at times. Aside from a fine cross for the first goal I can't see how Cassetti gets picked and while Neuton looks a proper footballer he has a nasty habit of giving the ball away when the the rest of the side is out of position. Vydra is beginning to look a class player, Forestieri is entertaining even if he overdoes the dribbling at times, and Deeney (though I still have personal reservations) was clearly determined to mak an impact. Disappointing we didn't win after going ahead twice but tbh on a good day BC could have scored five.
NZ, like the introduction of a bit of culture, though 'The Tempest' is often thought to be the Bard signalling the end of his career: Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep.
Morning all, a pleasant morning here, some sunshine, a little cloud and a warm but gentle breeze. My satellite digital box seems to have finally died on me this morning. It has been doing strange things for a while, but the supplier suggested that I wait until the holiday season was finished before sending it back to him. Under normal circumstances I would have jumped in the car and taken it to him, but not sure that Mme will be so keen to undertake a 230 km round trip. Off to the hospital tomorrow to have my plaster removed. They told me that I would have a new one for up to another four weeks. I have tried to be good and look after the ankle in the hope that I can get away with a couple of weeks, or better still one of those removable boot things. Wait and see, but it will be good to give the leg a scratch even if only for a moment or two.
Afternoon all. The weather here is rubbish. It is raining so hard that the sky box is struggling to get a signal and keeps stuttering. I hate this weather!!
Afternoon all from avery wet bandit country...a little disappointed we did not get all 3 points yesterday, but some good signs of improvement - well apart from the defence where we need some leadership and One-Size looks very chunk! Sill we could be Birmingham or Them
I suppose now would not be a good time to mention cricket? At least our Watford supporting player did his bit - two wickets and a not-out knock with the bat. Shame about the rest though!
Mention away BB and very poor performance and they all should be hanging their heads in shame....apart from Mr Finn of course! Still chucking in down in bandit country...
thank you Mr Frenchie, i had a fantastic day...though it suddenly occurs to me i'm rather old now...i'm expecting my letter from Saga any time now! Evening all! After a wonderful day of celebrations yesterday, and a long day of work today, i'm finallys sitting down for a rest..though soon i shall open all the presents i received that i haven't yet had time to open! Looking forward to that! Even the match was a good one, despite the draw...it would have been good to have a win though. Poor Mr H. He paid to have a surprise birthday wish on the big screen but it didn't go up, and they apparently announced my birthday at half time but i missed it, coz i was out getting a coffee and some grub for Little Miss H...bit of a disaster all round! Still, it's the thought that counts, and it was well and truly made up for last night, when he laid on a cocktail party at a friend's house, though i had way too many cocktails and was more than a little woolly headed when i got home!
