Afternoon all, had to bunk work this morning. Well I couldn't get out of my road. The main road was cornered off by police who had come to a house to check its suspicious activity out and were met with a warm welcome, a handgrenade and a few shots. Didn't think that would happen here in Queretaro. Still, on with the day and hopefully out and about later !
We only have five policemen in Akureyri from about 800 in the whole country, so we all know them and to have someone throw a bomb or shoot them would not happen. Some of them have gun training, there are about 50 special police in the country with gun training. We also have a volunteer police group as well. I can not understand why a criminal who is free on police permission wants to kill two policewomen, just more trouble.
Only one more day at work, then I am off for two and half weeks Cape Verde here we come Flying Monday cannot wait

It has not passed you by Frenchie, I had not said it. But I was told on monday that Stephen McGinn was in the squad for monday. He was right as he made the 20 man squad, I just got ahead of myself thinking that he might be on the bench, or starting 11.
