Morning Ak, thanks for the coffee hope you have recovered fully now from your trip.

Fuel here in Borehamwood is GBP134.9 but probably a few pence cheaper at the Dome Roundabout, Watford.

Have a great trip Yorkie - Have you given us all a chance by not leaving predictions for while your away? :emoticon-0105-wink:

Thanks for the frothy AK - much appreciated and perfect timing as I am sitting out on my patio overlooking the bay on dolphin watch with Mrs W_Y. A bit early for a beer :)

AK - Petrol is $3.59 for a US gallon here. Will take someone with a converter to work out the price in £ or krona!

Afternoon all! Finally a few minutes to sit down and take a breath! It's been a bit mad lately. i definitely need some passes..the bat mitzvah is in just over two weeks..and then i think i deserve some time off (as long as my last 3 years hard earned dosh covers the bill!).

    haha!

Aw, poor you M Frenchie..i'm gushing with sympathy for you, that sucks.....hope it feels a bit better today :)

    Have a fantastic trip!

It's £1.36 up the road at the mo...i saw £1.41 this morning...seems to have crept right up again :(

That's a bit of a bummer! A US gallon = approx 3.8 litres, which means around 95 cents a litre - going by the current exchange rate, that's equal to about 60p a litre.

Up here (or down here if you are AK) it was £1.44 this morning. I feel cheated.:(

Analysing that in terms of percentage of their average monthly disposable income (£354.48), that equates to 2.73%. That's well behind Qatar, where the cost of a litre is more - 12p - but equates to only 0.4% as their disposable income is far higher at £3664.92. Thanks mainly to our money-grabbing politicians, the UK figure is 10.73% :(

Mind you, the beer in Venezuela and Qatar tastes like p*ss. <laugh>

But with a 3.6L V6 gas guzzler - even at 60p a litre it does not go far!
Sitting watching the Biscuit Men beating Chelsea on ESPN - don't think they are covering us on sat though...

    I don't have a problem with petrol prices - bloody epilepsy! :)

w_y, unfortunately for you, ESPN don't do the FL. Mind you, I might just get to my Mum for the start of the second half on Sat. I'll be in Budapest when we play Bradford on Tuesday, and Brussels Airport when we play Derby.

There is a Sainsbury's near where BC play and they are always the cheapest in the area, so when I do go to the Airport to collect my wife or even fly out myself I always top up when I go past;)

Morning all, guess who has been doing nights? ;)

I went down to Southend the other weekend and just after you turn off of the M25 onto the A127 on the left hand side of the dual carriageway (East bound) the petrol was 138.9 per ltr but on the opposite side (West Bound) the petrol was 135.9 per ltr. Both garages were Esso so how do you account for the difference.

Possibly due to the time of day/commuter traffic? Travelling East into work, the traffic would be heavier.......

    Cynical? Me? Never! ;)

I would have thought that, however the traffic in the morning is travelling West (into London) so probably they are in a hurry so get their petrol on the way home when they have more time.

Cynical you BB having read most of your posting I would never have thought that.

    Sorry Al,

I got caught up with something and could not reply. Hope you got off early and are now on your way to the land of nod. Didn't you say you were off to France on Friday. Does that mean you are into work tonight then off or have you now finished with nights?
