    Good morning all.

Plenty of space in Madeira as it seems like half of their population has emigrated to Jersey, where it is currently pouring down. There's that many here that earlier this year the capital of Madeira, Funchal, was twinned with St Helier and one of the roads here was renamed Rue du Funchal.

Morning all, clear blue sky and warm breeze, really just right.;)

Two phone calls this morning from different daughters both with plumbing problems, seeking advise. Glad I don't live nearer, one might have hoped I would load up the tool kit. :(

I was having a look at the Granada squad details last night and was quite surprised to find that two thirds of the players last season were 28 or older. The idea that all we might see is development youngsters may not be quite right.

Cup of coffee then ak. <ok> Need to get active and burn a few calories before I start to put them back on again. <cool>

    Morning all

Yet more rain, so it's coffee and newspaper this morning with a bit of cricket listening thrown in... Almost a hat trick for Steven Finn (who I remember umpiring to as a 15-year-old...him not me...when he was at Parminters School) already...

theo, as a member of the OPS, there is no n in it - it's Parmiter's.

Was supposed to be going ta BBQ at friends for their daughters' first birthday but due to the weather it's been postponed until tomorrow when we're supposed to be dry here. It has meant that the BBQ is on her birthday.

I stand corrected, Jersey...didn't sound right at the time! I see Master Finn managed two wickets in two balls twice in the same game today.

Nothing more puzzling than English weather....they play cricket all day in Durham while here in Hampshire it has chucked it down all day. The lane is a raging torrent and a bit of the garage roof has sprung a leak.

afternoon all.. had a very emotionally moving morning at my friend's synagogue today when they had a service to celebrate her son's 21st birthday...he suffered meningitis as a toddler and died before she managed to revive him, and now he has severe cerebral palsy...nothing like two lines of ladies sobbing lol. She laid on a lovely lunch afterwards, it was all good :). This evening we're off to a barbeque and hoping the weather holds...i'm taking two jumpers lol.

Have a lovely evening and keep warm and dry H.

Would you like to re-word your last post as I don't quite understand the sequence of events, and I have only just taken the cork out of a bottle. ;)

    2. he's 21, there's a service in the synagogue, lots of women sobbing coz it's so emotional.
    3. lunch.

    Hope that helps! lol

Just back from taking Mast. NZ to Sunday morning football training for under 8s. The guy who runs it is Italian. He doesn't know much about Udinese but he did complain that the top teams in Italy are full of foreigners. He says Italy will never be a force internationally whilst this is alowed to happen.

Morning all - just finished clearing up after the annual W_Y BBQ, it's actually #1 sons birthday (28 !) and we always have a bash to celebrate!. Just how much can people of that age drink and then at 11.00 PM decide they have to go clubbing - now I like a drink and kept up easily, but who wants to drink a Lee Bowyer? - A bottle of Smrinoff Ice with 4 Gin's topped up with Red Bull!!!!! - I stayed on Thatchers Gold and then Sailor Jerry, trouble one of his mates is a Marine and he drinks it like water....we went through 2 bottles! Do I have some stories about my mates son who is on R&R from Afghan...

Just seen a mouse wandering along the top of the radiator in the tv room...hmm, blinkin' cat. Unfortunately, but the time the laptop was off my lap, the blinkin' thing had disappeared. No idea where it went...so i think i'll leave it to eat my cushions and head to bed lol....it'll be quite amusing if it shows it's face again when i'm not here..i'm the only one who catches mice in this house, everyone else gets a bit girlie ;)..hey ho!

night night all, sweet dreams :)
