When I took pie's brother back to his mum earlier, I found out it was her who had to tell him as leader-in-charge, which means she also has to tell the other boy, the leader responsible doesn't have to. Apparently, if that's how the leader wants to run their Beaver colony there's not really much that can be done about it. I'm just hoping it's a case of them not having young leaders while they get to know the children they're looking after.
For those who may be interested Ãlafur Ragnar GrÃmsson is president again for the fifth time. He had 53% of the votes. The next candidatewas Ãóra Arnórsdóttir who had 33%, the other four candidates had the rest between them.
I thought that some believed him to be too political when he refused to sign off paying the UK money, but others think that it was a good thing. A bit like the Queen refusing to sign new legislation seems the nearest comparison.
Sæl öll. Cappuccino, coffee, tea donuts and fruit are on the bar. TO WELCOME THE NEW ERA What the Pozzos will bring is still unkown but I hope they will take the ball Baz started rolling and finish the stadium. We have a warm day already but rain will come soon. 12C.
Morning all, bright and sunny in this small part of the world with temperature expected to reach 25C in the shade this afternoon. Bread run and banking to do first, then more work down the far field. It is so slow, but progress is being made. Hopefully a bit like WFC.
Morning all - hanging a bit today after a wondeful day yesterday. We battered the aussies at Cricket...whilst there I got a text from my mate to get Little Miss W_Y to call him...when she did it was answered by his son - he is back from Afghan on R&R and told no-one he was back. They are best mates and she was over the moon - we popped over to see him when we got back. Such a wonderful day... BTW - It's pouring down in Bandit Country & thanks for the frothy AK, very much needed!
Morning all Cafe latte to herald the new era. The weather is more like the North Atlantic than Italy this morning. Still, no excuse for not working on the book, though it looks like the sofa and a video this afternoon.
afternoon all! Another eventful day at Watford FC...i just can't wait for things to get going and start taking shape now...this pussy-footing is getting on my nerves! lol Thanks for the caramel latte Ak ...and yes, for the new era. Where are you off to Yorkie? Have a lovely time! 11 July is a big day for me too, but not in a nice way! lol...i'd rather be having your day, if it's alright with you?
He must be doing something right for his 5th term to commence. Elections here also, I expect some protests at the result. PRI are back claiming to have changed. hmmmmm a lot of people doubt that here... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-18676549
Not impressed with the guy who runs the work cricket team. I can understand him having to receive notification from the groundsman if the decision that we couldn't play was to made early in the day. I walked for about 20 minutes from work to the ground in the rain pulling my kit bag (I bat left-handed and the club kit only has stuff for those who bat right-handed) and the only way I knew that the captains had spoken and decided that game had to be called off is due to one of my team-mates also being there and receiving the text. That was at approx 5.45 - I still haven't received the text. What's the betting that he thought I'd still be at work (ridiculous when the game was due to start at 6) and there's an e-mail from him when I get in to work tomorrow?
Ãlafur is good. He does not do much but when he does it causes a bad smell. He said no when Alþingi said pay the British and the Holland governments. Perhaps it was wrong to say no but the governments involved could have place money on horses in a race with the same success.
I have a big birthday coming up I shall be celebrating it in Paris, attending the Lido to watch some dancers
