Blimey AK, I was looking to see if there were any cheap flights for you....they must be burning some of those £ notes on the planes from Iceland...
Air China quoted me £832 for Edinburgh - Dublin - Cork. Admittedly that was for both my wife and myself, but still off-putting, especially when we still have to get to and from Edinburgh.
Limoges- Southampton- Manchester- Cork €1463 and that was the cheapest with it taking 10 hours in total. Don't think I will be going.
To head out on the Tuesday, I'd have to fly from here to Gatwick early to get a plane to Cork mid-morning. Coming back, I can get a direct flight the following morning. Problem is getting the time off work as it's the time we're working on the year end of my biggest client. Also, my line manager is on holiday so I can't ask her until a week Monday which is a shame as one of those flights was £30 before taxes (not with Ryanair). If she was from Cork rather than Dublin, I don't think it would be a problem.
Tomorrow is the draw for the first round of the Capital One Cup - I think the friendly with Shrewsbury will go ahead, but I won't be too sure about the ones at Wycombe and Gillingham: http://www.football-league.co.uk/ca...-one-cup-round-1-draw-details_2293330_2810272
Spotted this and not sure that I would be too keen on the scheme. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18424590 It sounds very much like Ryanair, EasyJet, Premier Inns, etc. always advertising a cheap price, but most of the time even if you book early the cheap price is not available. How can you know if there is a big demand for tickets and if you are getting a fair deal?
Evening all (although admittedly it's almost morning!). We're going to Cork by ferry..much cheaper than flying, though obviously much longer too. But then we'll have the car and can travel around the south of Ireland for a few days. We're basing ourselves in Cork though, and i've already been given a list of things to see and do that should use up most of our week! lol
Congrats on page 400 Ak !! On that note, i'm off to bed ..sweet dreams all...and congrats to whoever gets post #8000, which probably won't be me! lol
Go round the coast to kerry, ring of kerry, dingle and tralee ... and if you can handle boadt trips 1) the longish trip out to the skellig islands 2) the short trip to blasket island magical....
Morning all from a bright & sunny West West London.... Our flights to Cork are £48 return from Stansted on Ryanscare - of course, they started at £36 but went up with booking fees and having to use a credit card etc. - one downside is that the plane leaves at 06.20 in the morning, so will have to find something to do all day before the match, but I am sure we can find somewhere to go!
