OFH - I have heard a rumour of some money men looking at the club over the last few days, nothing very concrete just some noise and certainly not Vilealli..I'll tap up one of our sources on Friday and see what falls out of that...
Evening all - safely back in bandit country and it's starting to get a bit rainy and windy. I am looking forward to a few days of just doing ****e...
Just been on the Hull forum, and they're bemoaning the fact that they'll probably have to endure another season of dire football from the likes of "Watford, Coventry and Derby". Because Hull City are renowned for their attractive, attacking, free-scoring brand of football. What with 38 goals all season.
NNW - I love all that stuff, it just makes it more worth it when we beat them or finish above them. A self inflated sense of one's own self importance is a recipe for a downfall, just look at the dirty one's....
By their own admission, they're the ones who have been serving up dire tripe recently - perhaps Coventry and Derby should be bemoaning the fact that they have to put up with Hull for another season! It won't worry us though - we're going up
Morning all - chilly start to the day... Leaving early to get down to the South Coast before the Easter rush starts - stay the night, load up The Zil with some of Little Miss W_Y's stuff and then up to The Vic to see us smash Blackpool's Donkeys...their Orange shirts reminds me of "Them"...vomit inducing
Blue skies and no wind, so there is a good chance that it will be a fine day to get some more outside jobs done.
Hull have got ahead of themselves - it was not that long ago they were fighting to remain in the league - they are just a silly little club with grandiose ideas above their station
Morning Leo, I see that the north of Wales has been having loads of snow and people have been without electricity. Guess that it has not got into the deep south of the country.
It's funny how some clubs fans get all up themselves after a little success, Hull, Cardiff and of course the dirty one's who are still hanging onto winning 2 **** trophies. You know who will be next if they get promoted? Southampton will become even more obnoxious...
Góðan daginn til allra. Cappuccino, coffee, tea donuts and fruit are on the bar. I am late today. I woke at kl.4:00 fell asleep again and was late for work
Morning all Thanks Ak, i'll help myself to a coffee, i'm running late too! w_y, agree with you about Southampton...they used to be really friendly, now they're just arrogant. It's such a shame. I like to think when we go up and down, we're a little more modest. Congrats to SD on being nominated Manager of the Month...no offense, but i hope he loses! lol Busy day today, playing catch up with work after yesterday's day in Cardington, and then cooking cooking and more cooking for Passover, which begins tomorrow night, but i'm a little busy elsewhere tomorrow afternoon. I knew this week would be mental! Have a good day, one and all, see you later! ttfn
Briefly back to the Hull situation. We all know what Malky Mackay is like at the end of a season, and have seen first hand what is going wrong with Leeds, so we're assuming that Cardiff and Leeds are the ones who are going to roll over in the playoff race. But Leeds are 12th in the form table and Cardiff 16th. It's Hull and Middlesbrough who are in real trouble. http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/league-championship/2011-2012/form-table/full
I must admit, I have found it funny how all my Southampton-supporting mates have come out of the woodwork this season... some I didn't even know were fans! Doesn't help I live with one, and sit opposite one at work! There was a while there I was really hoping they wouldn't go up.... just to shut them up, but if it is a choice between them and the Spammers, I think i begrudgingly want Southampton to go up, just! Be nice if Pompey beat them this weekend though
Ever since I went to see Hull in the early 60's (We have friends of the family that lived there) so I have looked out for their results. I have always thought of them as a second-class team much on the lines of Barnet. I'm sure they have only been in the top flight of English Football once 2008, and then for only 2 seasons. The majority of their football has been played at levels 3 & 4. As for cup football I think the furthest they have ever been is the Semi-Final and then only the once. Me thinks they are getting a little bit above their Station as both ourselves & Coventry have a far superior Footballing History
