Afternoon all, hellova day! Rush rush! See you later..when i will be able to take in Charlie's words and learn something! Have a great afternoon and early evening, i should be home by 9 if i'm lucky! <groan>
Much more simple in Oz, where the main job of the Whip is to make damned sure that MP's vote for the Party line - if they don't, they are booted out of the party. Parliamentary traditions are viewed with suspicion over there, ever since the shenanigans of 1975 led to the impeachment of the Prime Minister at the time (who even at 95 still bores the public with his bitterness).
Evening all. That was a productive day, 600 words of an assignment done and dusted. Now i am rather tired for some reason. I have no idea why though. I was just tweeting with Bernard Mensah after he was embarrassed at having to sign an autograph for the Tesco delivery man. I said it was a sign that he has made it, but he then said he still has lots to do but maybe one day. This got me thinking about another great thing Herefield teaches the young players is patience and humility. None of them are under any illusions about how hard they have to work. But also that even after all that work, nothing might come of it.
Thats funny, thats pretty much what the guy after me said lol. But BM even had to get the pen and paper to do it lol
Bit posh that - having deliveries from Tesco. I have to go down to the store for my shopping............
Ak, thanks for the cuppas welcolme after a couple of days in JGH. Seeing the political discussion above is interesting - in Jersey we don't have a party system. A few years ago, a few politicians formed the nearest thing to a party I've know in Jersey - the Jersey Democratic Alliance - and in the next elections they had a candidate up for each of the Deupty and Senator posts (30 seats in total) and only had 1 member in the States Chambers.
I'm fine thanks, OFH - once again, seizures caused by infection. Must be a bad one as I've got 3 sets of antibiotics.
Its great to see you back Barry. Its never nice to hear someone has been in hospital. I see Andi Weimann scored 2 for the reserves tonight. He is doing rather well for himself atm.
Well, when the nearest store is a 25 mile round trip away, it's sometimes easier (and cheaper) to have it delivered
He is an incredible young man. His feet are firmly on the ground, and he is all about hard work, grind, and getting where he wants to be. He has aspirations, but he knows he will have to work very hard to get there, and he's not afraid to do it. He's also itching to get back to running, and playing...and he's also already getting to be a very good driver!
I really have to tip my hat to him. If only there were more like him. please log in to view this image
lol...i have mind delivered too...it's not posh, it's a time saver Aw Barry, sorry to hear that...feel better soon hun xx
yes indeed...but i have a feeling we help to breed more like him at the Academy. He's a very good kid though, intelligent, bright, a quick learner, and obviously from a very happy background..all good
