The Gunners seem to have stepped off the gas in the second half, hopefully they can get another one!

I wonder how long before Red appears feeling a bit better than he has done of late?

    Tonights results

    Bristol City-Leicester City 3:2
    Coventry City-Crystal Palace 1:1
    Nottingham Forest-Doncaster Rovers 1:2
    Peterborough United-Millwall 0:3
    Reading-Portsmouth 1:0

    34-43 Watford
    34-38 Peterborough United
    35-37 Millwall
    35-34 Bristol City
    34-32 Nottingham Forest
    35-29 Coventry City
    33-29 Doncaster Rovers
    34-26 Portsmouth

To catch Watford Portsmouth need to win 6 games and will be on their match 40 if that happens and we will somehow manage to not acquire points.
Doncaster Rovers need 5 wins and will do that by match 38
    Coventry City 5 and 40
    Nottingham 4 and 38
    Bristol City 3 and 38
    Millwall 2 and 37
    Peterborough 2 and 36

The important thing is for Watford to equal or better Coventry City Bristol City and Peterborough United.

Morning all - mild day in West West London. What a crap start to the day, my PC started an automatic Windows Update and crashed, after several CHKDSK's and Safe Starts, it is finally running again - wasted an hour already <grr>

Gooners were very unlucky last night, if the Milan keeper had chosen differently, it might have been a different result...

Morning all, frosty start to the morning but it soon disappeared.

Off to buy a new TV today. 2 years ago I was told that the existing one was on it's last legs, but it is still going even if it does have a bit of a hum on the sound. I can't remember exactly when I bought it, but it has to be over 25 years. I wonder if the new one will last as long? :(

Morning all, bit of drizzle in the air but so windy it's going sideways. Should be interesting later at work as we are having a barbecue for lunch <yikes>. Looking forward to the food but not the weather so much. Luckily we should all be undercover as our office has a couple of covered decking areas that we use for displaying furniture during the season. If I get any good pics I'll put them on later.

Does it have wood effect panels on it? I remember the first one we had, no remote control and you turned a dial to find the channels. The first one with a remote control only had 2 buttons. One was for going up the channels and the other was the mute button. And they took ages to warm up and show the whole picture <laugh>.

Good luck with getting a new one, it will probably have a lifespan of about 3 years!!!

Not only that Sandy the remote was connected by a long wire that stretched across the living room floor and plugged into the TV.

I remember our first TV at home. It had a dial to select one of the 2 channels available and a knob in the middle of that to "fine tune" the picture. The other knob had the on/off switch and volume control. I also remember listening to "Listen With Mother" on the old valve set...

Probably not - but with technology advances at least you'll be able to carry it, probably with one hand. Did a tv count in our house a couple of months ago when my daughter got rid of her old Ark tv - we now have five <yikes>. But all five of them together are lighter than her old one which took three of us to carry to the skip.

    Morning all

Absolutely lashing it down here..and I have to go out for an eye test. Our first TV had an indoor ariel and only ever seemed to get a perfect picture if someone stood in the middle of the room holding the ariel above their head...

    Morning all,
Thankfully I am in tidy up mode for the return of Mrs PSH lots of indoor work, as outside it is piddling down:( Of course I made the fatal mistake yesterday of cleaning the windows, now with the rain it has made no different and with the lorries going past the front of the house I have got to ask myself why I bothered in the first place<laugh>
