It is quite funny, or do I mean sad, not sure, but all of the regular moaners who turn up on the WO site are missing tonight. Maybe even they will now give SD at least one more match before they call for his head again.
Speaking of red cards - as well as scoring on his debut for Braintree, Britt got himself sent off. Norway will be miffed
Nigel Pearson quoted on BBC: "We know their style of play, they do it very well, but when we played football in their half we caused them all sorts of problems." What is this meant to mean?
i have no idea. I'm not sure we know our style of play yet, so how can he? lol...and yes, we did have problems when they were attacking our goal, but we defend well, so though they were stronger than most teams we've played this season, we did well to keep them out, and give them their own problems all over the pitch. It was a good performance tonight...maybe he's trying to say, like so many other teams this season, that they didn't have a great game
Late rreply H, sorry. I actually did some work after trying to read every report and blog and comment on the game. I hope my employer doesn't keep a log of the non-work related sites I visit! Life here is good. A wet summer at the moment. I hope it clears up for the weekend as I am taking Mast. NZ camping. Tremors are few and far between. We only feel them about once a fortnight and then we get about three together, which just remind us of a year ago. The anniversary is coming up next week. One of my collegues was the only survivor on a bus and she is being interviewed a lot by various media, at the moment.
Because it's an employers responsibility to collect Tax & NI under PAYE, they are assumed to collect this and pay the HMRC - just like our employers do. Reason for the tribunal was to determine if an offshore tax scheme regarding loans and BIK's was legal under existing tax rules - this tribunal has still to publish it's findings on that which is the well published £45M. However HMRC forced Rangers into going into admin yesterday for the £9M in unpaid PAYE since Whyte took over in 2011, so it's a different debt anyway. As a tax payer I am very happy that the HMRC are chasing and forcing payment of these outstanding debts..
Morning all - Great Smash n Grab job last night on Leicester and for once it's good to see us coming away with 3 points we did not really deserve. Some great defending and battling in midfield gave us that victory - along with some good finishing of course. Good to see Forsyth come on and made a real positive difference. One thing I have to say that I have not noticed mentioned was the contribution of Big Chris - he took a of of stick from where I was sitting (I was in the Upper Rous as I was in The Legends lounge), but what people did not seem to notice was that Leicester put 2 players on him everytime he went for the ball and caused gaps for us to play in when we could. He also tracked back and defended well - so not the most skillful of agile of players, but he put a shift in and caused them some problems and I will give him some credit for that. Afterwards when Aidy was presented with MOM was so funny, he is Lloyd's new best friend according to Mike Vince!! Hopefully we can appeal Lloyd's ridiculous sending off. Last night was one of the most inept performances by 2 officials I have seen in a long time - they allowed some of the most fragent disregard to the rules I have ever seen. Twice a Leicester player stopped the ball with his hand as the ball was going out for a throw-in before it went out, but neither official noticed it as they assumed the ball was going out. One of Leicester's tactics was for the keeper to play the ball forward as quickly as possible - even if that meant a rolling ball or taking a goal-kick when 3 players were still in the penalty area. How the linesmen could have seen and flag for the incident that Lloyd got sent off for and the ref missed it and then the ref could determine which player had made the "foul", I will never know. Beckford was fouling all night and not one word was said to him... Nice morning in West West London...
great result.... season definer for me.... we are good enough for this league even without a good set of forwards. Incidentally, W_Y, I was one who was very cynical when Chris came on at Forest... but yes.... he was always a danger up front.. and yes was always marked by a couple.... I dont know whether it was his shiny pate .
Morning all, what a great Valentines Day. I cooked a lovely 12oz steak for me and Mrs Sandy and then checked the results to see we grabbed another 3 points.....happy days We have lost our 'best striker' but the rest of the team seem to be filling in quite nicely: With Sordell = 26 league goals from 27 matches (1.03 goals per game) Without Sordell = 8 league goals from 4 matches (2 goals per game) Sordell moving on is looking more and more like a blessing in disguise. We get a cash injection into the club and SD has had to rely on other players who may have been overlooked in the past. All in all I think we are now in a good position and can now look up the table rather that down. Today is a good day to be a Hornet!!!
