Morning all from a cold rock.

H, thank you for the offer - don't forget there are 2 of us, not just lil ole me. Mind you, my first concern with the trains is getting from Gatwick to Watford on Friday night. It being colder then than it will be on Sat may make that journey more of a problem.

Dan, it's reasonably well controlled, just the frustration of having fits approx every 3 to 6 months. Abut 12 years ago, I'd gone long enough without one that I was learning to drive but had a fit 3 days before I was supposed to take my theory test and that's been it as far as me driving has gone.

Morning all - freezing day in West West London and the heating boliers never came on again in Corporate Madness, so I am sitting here still wearing my overcoat!

More snow here, but only light stuff and the sun is shining so might have a go at getting the car out this afternoon. It is a mile to the nearest main road, if you can call it that, so think I will go and see if it is clear. -8C at present but supposed to be rising to -3C later. It has all looked very nice, but getting a bit fed up with it now.

Our street lights went out early last night to save electricity, but seeing as no one was around after 6.00pm it hardly mattered.

Hot coffee now before anything else, then must get some more wood in for the fire. ;)

Has anyone else been watching 'Royal Marines - Mission Afghanistan' on Channel 5? Such a good program and really gives an insight into what's going on out there. Whether people agree that they should be out there, they do a good job in dangerous and poor conditions. I was genuinely upset when they showed what had happened to one of the marines a few weeks after filming had stopped. There's another 4 episodes left so if you get a chance have a look at them.

Thats good to hear that its only 3-6 months. My sister knows someone who suffers with it too, and her fits would happen every other day or if she was startled. It made her school life in particular hell, as even someone tapping her shoulder could set it off.

Morning all, its cold here, but at least it is dry.

Harry Redknapp has done another Houdini as the Jury have returned a NOT GUILTY verdict on his charges of tax evasion.

HMRC must be getting really fed up with football clubs and people associated with them as they seem to come off second best everytime.

Is the curse restricted to home games or all games?? If the kids make up the difference in cost with burgers and drinks will this cancel out the curse? If so "stuff ya faces kiddies!!!" <laugh><laugh>

There really does seem to be 1 rule in this country for ordinary people and another for those that can afford expensive lawyers and barristers. I hope this means that everyone can be gifted any amount of cash which they can deposit in a bank in a foreign country in the name of their dog!
Still looking for a positive, this will mean that Capello will leave under a cloud of despondency after England eff up again and the hacks will call for 'onest 'arry to take over as the experiment to have a non-English manager has clearly failed. Then in 2 years, after England have effed up again, the **** hacks will be calling for another manager. Perhaps a Scot or a Paddy will be acceptable? Can think of a couple of suitable candidates that I would like to see taking that poisoned chalice on!
