A grim afternoon down here...shan't be venturing far from the fireside. Outside looks about right for filming the worst bits of 'Lord of the Rings'...
lol you did! though it was a guilt thing...as a friend of Miss Hornette she was upset coz she'd told a wee fibette to her mum and dad, and said she was coming for a sleepover, and forgot to mention the party! It was a sudden pang of guilt and it sent her to bed early..bless! Still, all were up this morning, with sore heads but when most of them had gone, Master Hornette and a couple of friends set to when i went to work and cleared the whole place, it looks good as new! Right back to work for me....can't wait to get home! lol Laters
Upmarket little cafe.. just down the road.... gone are the days when there were just 2/3 proper cafes in Leeds... thank goodness
Everything is good in the north. Seismic activity along our fault is reduced and the temperature is hotter today. I had a bit too much of everything at the weekend and I am suffering from the quantity of food and drink. We had a cow a pig and a sheep. It looked like that anyway. Lots of drink as well.
cripes, not much going on here today...i'm glad i haven't missed much, except to know that Ak has eaten a farm and drunk the brewery dry!
i've spent hours on the phone to my network today...the only song they've played all blinkin' day when i've been on hold..(for hours!) is EJ's Step into Christmas...i used to like that song..now i just want to throw the phone through the window! Aghhhhh!
Evening all, back from Paris and had a lovely time, spent the day with my kids really nice lunch then a relaxing afternoon. back home now and trying to get my kit together for my work tomorrow
Well, a more positive bit of news re phones - Jersey Telecom are now giving their customers with contract mobiles, the option of a UK mobile on the same SIM so that when you're in the UK, those who have to contact you from a UK mobile are only paying their usual tariff rather than any additional charge that they would incur from contacting a Jersey mobile. Considering they are having to ask another company to issue the number, to get it the next working day is very good. I'm making things less costly for my friends and family and it hasn't cost me any extra to do it. Shame that they'll probably never be able to do it with France because of us being on 2 different country codes.
Evening all from a damp bandit country...good news is that my switch to a new Electricity & Gas supplier is going fairly smoothly and I have got a £185 refund from B. Gas!
Morning all. Another very warm, sunny day in Christchurch. We are having a sensible Christmas lunch with the in-laws this year. All the food will be cold -cold meats, salads, trifle etc - which means I can prepare it all in advance. All the present shopping is done. I just have to go to the supermarket. We might even go camping with the children on Saturday. After writing all that I am begining to worry. I seem too organised
Reminds me of Christmas in Oz - all eaten outside under the banyan tree. Cold ham, cold pork, giant prawns in a bucket of ice, cold , cold - gawd I'm starting to salivate
Good evening all. I spent today tidying my room and filling in application forms for a job. It was 9 pages long and had a 45 minute assessment thrown in in the middle of it which you had to answer in one sitting. I will be finishing the room off tomorrow as well as any other jobs which pop up. Nice to see you had a good time Al, and good to have you back.
my day was okay...i've just been so tired after last night! lol..i've had very little sleep over the last few days!
Ok then. I will say the same thing i keep saying to Kiri. If you are tired why are you still up? Go to bed!
Morning all - milder day today, it was 5C when I left bandit country. Looks like an unproductive day in West West London as my email server is still poorly despite engineers working on it all night! At times like this I always wonder what we did before email, mobile phones, twitter etc.?
