Morning all, has some heavy snow for about 30 mins but has now turned to drizzle. Can't see it staying for long. I really hope the working day goes quickly, I've go so much to do this weekend and work is just getting in the way (as per usual).
Snowing here too but nothing settling so happy about that as I've got to go and get my hair cut!!! And I've got to get back to Watty tomorrow!
Morning all. We had a flurry of snow earlier, but nothing amazing. Its now just raining. Parcels to deliver so its going to be a cold and wet one. Lets hope people are in and answer the door!
Morning All Blue skies here... Not complaining at all. Hoping the snow holds off here as mean my site closes, and only have a few days left of my current role, so need to get the work done!
Look what's been made in my loft! The pest guy said it's the biggest domestic wasp nest he's ever seen and is going to put a pic of it on his website! lol...but it's absolutely incredible the engineering that goes into it...isn't nature amazing!! Click on the pics to get a bigger picture
That is quite incredible! Was it heavy? I am always amazed at just how light they are. I sat down to watch Masterchef: The Professionals last night, hoping either Claire or Steve would win. They began the show with a short film for each of the finalists, indicating that although they were professional chef's, they were still ordinary people, doing ordinary things. It turned out Steve was a keen footballer, and had set his sights on becoming professional. They then showed the worst thing I have ever seen on television. My feelings towards Steve dramatically changed, similar to when I discovered Joseph Fritzl wasn't a loveable, charming old man. I was violently sick all over the sofa, and spent the rest of the show - for which I was previously incredibly excited about - depressed, with a deep distrust for Michel Roux Jnr. and Greg Wallace, who had shown a great deal of affection to this monster, Steve. So, what was this horrific image that completely ruined me evening? It was Masterched: The Professionals 2011 contestant, Steve, wearing the football shirt of his favorite team, whilst holding the scarf above his head. Luton Town. LUTON TOWN WAS HIS FAVOURITE TEAM. Fortunately, Steve didn't win. Unfortunately, neither did Claire. It was such a bad night.
Wow H thats awesome!, Didnt you have one removed earlier in the year or is that the one ! BBW Thats moving into litigation territory for sure, I do hope you have made a full recovery from that mental scarring!
i didn't pick it up, but it's very light apparently. I'm told (i had no idea) that they munch on fences, and then regurgitate (if Steve hasn't made you sick enough lol) it to make the nest. But the perfect hexagons are incredible! And the layers...just amazing..!
Wow H, that's pretty scary. I'm going to start shutting down for the weekend so 'Friday' drinks are on the bar!!! Enjoy and I'll catch up with you all after the match. COYH!!! View attachment 8826
I wondered if anyone else watched it. He said he was from Bedford and when he started talking about football I knew which team he was going to say. I got a bit worried as they kept liking his food. I wanted Claire to win after that.
thankfully all the wasps are dead, or gone ...just the queen was hanging around apparently, but she's gone now too, i didn't ask how! lol
Yep, this was the last one of 3! And the biggest, and most active..so he waited til now to make sure they wasps were all gone
He comes from the village I live in and is a couple of years older than #2 son. Goes without saying that I wanted Claire to win - not often you want a criminal to win anything either...
Be careful when you mention fits, as I'm epileptic (don't worry, I'm not going to get upset with you). Coz of which, I'm at home while my colleagues have carried on partying in St Helier after the work Christmas lunch. Although on this occasion, being on AEDs doesn't come into it as I've got to be at the harbour for about 8am to say goodbye to my boys before they go with their Mum away to her Dad in France for Xmas. With how the weather has been, they probably won't sail on time but I don't want to assume and miss seeing them. The first time I see them in the New Year, youngest will already be 14.
