This made me laugh.. got two daughters and my missus was away on a hen do for the weekend. My eldest wanted a “pony plait” in her hair for a party I was taking her to. I’d only ever put ponytails or tied it up so I got YouTube up and watched a video then tried to tackle it. An hour and a 10 minute FaceTime call with a hen party later I was sweating and she had to settle for a bun. Was over the moon when we got to the party and there was a bar even now I still can’t plait their hair!

Aye, going back to @becs post and the subject. When the mrs was in hospital she was horrified at the kids hair when ah fetched em in and she got the woman next door to do the two daughters hair fer school

Think the kids got sick of fish fingers and chips or whatever i kept cooking

I remember me dad went through a faze of baking pies and sausage rerls etc
I remember me granda doing the same years before.
When I started doing home brew many years ago I remember me dad asking me why/how I got into it.

It was a nostalgia thing at first.
I remember me grandad making saki, banana wine and sherry in demi johns by the coal fire in shields as a bairn.
I used to love the bubbles in the airlocks , and the smell of stottie bread rising by the fire.
That and the Westminster chime clock (which i have now) and the lighthouse flashing through the bedroom window at night sometimes with the foghorn going off were all great memories from childhood.

Random one from childhood: used to stay over at my grandparents when my parents were working in the school holidays. Dad was a teacher in Co Durham but we were under Sunderland for school so sometimes our school holidays didn't align.

Used to love getting up with my Grandad. We'd help him light the coal fire, then he'd cut doorstep wedges from a farmhouse loaf and we'd make toast on the fire. It was the best toast I've ever eaten!

This weekend I started with Sunderland and started a manager career and after wheeling and dealing sorted my side for the season, without playing a single game, simmed all the way to the end of the season, I finished 2nd.

Next weekend I'm simming to the January transfer window, then making adjustments and simming to the end

The aim is to buy Jude for Sunderland.

It can be done.

Completed the challenge.
By 2029 Jude is a Sunderland player.

I have loads of great memories from childhood but one or two I hated, up to about 8/9 years old I had to go to my nan’s for Sunday tea with the whole family.we used to all sit round the room eating cake and drinking tea, the cake was always Battenberg with that marzipan yellow slop round the sides
Then we had to sit quiet while my dad tuned in the wireless to listen to Sing something simple with the Mike Sammes Singers.
All my mates were back in Ford Estate playing footy on Hylton road field.

Not keen on small frame vespas.

Had a weekend over Ullswater in the m/h and done this....just more for something to do in the evening really.
Just took the kit, a pair of side cutters and a bottle of Tamiya extra thin cement.
Now just need to paint the thing, get the tracks on.
Not bothered if if comes out ****e, it was just a £2.50 charity shop buy...about two years ago.

I have a woman, problem is she lives 400 miles away, Couldnt cope with more than one, Interesting fact, a return flight from Bristol to the airport up the road, cost her £42. Because the Metro wasnt running and the ****ers didnt have a replacement bus sorted, it cost £60 to get a taxi to catch the flight. Taxi driver hates the mags more than me, which I didnt think was possible.
