Agreed. They are passing the buck. Then again I wouldn't expect anything else, they were well known for doing it.
Any of the plod that were junior officers on duty at Hillborough on the day that reads what their boss was planning to do to one of them should break their 'bond of silence' now and speak out, some poor **** junior copper could have shouldered Duckenfield's crime for 23 years if Hayes plan had worked.
We want more not less of this. The paper-trail has been opened and more paper will be revealed as the investigations progress. The more those concerned attempt to cover their own and colleagues arses the more they will add credence to the paper.
I agree with you dave, there'll be many present and former guilt ridden WYP officers, only a matter of time before one or more of them break ranks and spill the beans in the hope of leniency for themselves.
