I should lose some weight on Wednesday and Thursday - I'm in hospital for an operation on the inside of my nose :(
Not sure what I'll be allowed to eat afterwards as there may be some effect on my top lip and teeth.

Okay...having put most of the weight i lost back on...and with the all out eating holidays just around the corner, it's definitely time to take control again! I'm now in training for my 10 mile run, early days but making slight progress. I was about to do the spinning dvd this morning but i couldn't find the darn speakers for my laptop so couldn't hear what the trainer was saying! So, i'll hunt for those and do the dvd tomorrow...

I still don't know what to make for Christmas day...turkey is definitely NOT an option! lol...but it's going to be something healthy!

Onwards and upwards..and hopefully downwards and inwards :)

Looking forward to getting together and trying it out;)

Just ease yourself into it:) don't go crazy otherwise it will not do you any good at all! I took my bike for a spin yesterday morning and once I have sorted myself out today I will be on there again. At least when I am on my bike in the kitchen I don't get rained on!

i doubt i'll last 10 minutes, let alone an hour lol...but i'll see how i go :)...it'll make a nice change to just cycling, which in itself was ok, i just stopped doing it for some reason! I'm great when i'm in the mood, but i'm not good at sticking with anything for too long!

Well I have managed to do 1 hour on the exercise bike 2 days in a row;) which means I can eat what I want within reason;) Not sure how much I will get done over the weekend as we have our grandaughter arriving tomorrow and as she is only 6 and half I doubt the other half will allow me to have an hour to myself if you know what I mean<laugh>to get anything done like personal fitness.

i have tomorrow off for exercise...back on on Sunday so i think i'm going to aim for 2 or 3 days a week on the bike while the run training is quite short, after that i'm not sure but i'll play it by ear :)

Put on 2Kg of the 13Kg I've managed to strip as had 4 days in Libya and had to eat in the hotel for safety and my WW2 mentality meant had too get value for money out of the 70Euro a shot buffet!! Dropped one straight back off and have entered the ballot for next years London 100 bike ride, fingers crossed get in, I'll not cycle down but put the bike in the car for that if successful. Achilles tendons are playing havoc with running, knocked in a mile and a half before one shot yesterday, any ideas about how to protect them?
Anyone got good recommendations for mountain bike, think I'll treat myself to one in the new year, Cube??

Hi Abers, my achilles are tender too, but apparently the trick is to run upright and run in a circular motion, knees first...if that makes sense to you, i'd be grateful if you could explain it!

Well done in knocking off the kilo!

i've done my treadmill walk/run this morning, all part of my 10 mile training..tough going after yesterday but it's done :)

    Well done Al! <hug>

My gyms been closed 3 days as of today will get back in there tomorrow, two weeks ago was down to 91.2Kg today up to 95.0Kg, combination of Libya and Christmas mean I've taken my eye of the ball and eaten some sugary foods, obviously there's some fluid fluctuation and visibly my upper body is getting into shape (lookout arnie I'll be bigger than you by August). I've kept exercise up to a fashion including 10k on bike plus 10k on foot christmas eve day but the adage of calorie in vs calorie out is so true and watch the processed foods is my message as a blowout on the costco danish whirls and baklava is lethal not to mention the bottles of decent red and weissen bier.......... Bad idea not to record everything, I know I've had a few days in the 5000Kcal intake region but scared to log it all!!!!

Good effort both of you it is difficult to find the time to do exercise especially when off work<yikes> I do enjoy it especially afterwards as you can eat what you want within reason<laugh> We have a christening to go to on the 30th up in Southport which will be a bit of a session;) so I will do as much exercise I can prior to that so the effects wont do to much damage! I hope;)
