Okay, so...since i haven't lost an ounce in 3 months, and i'm getting very frustrated, i've decided that i'm going back to the beginning of my diet, and i'm starting my new exercise programme. i was going to start on Monday but i got all keen today, and started today instead...omg..it's really hard! i'm looking forward to it getting easier in the next few weeks! lol

So. here's the thing. Two weeks ago i started doing what everyone said i should have been doing all along...i started drinking lots of water every day. Since i started doing this incredibly healthy thing, which is supposed to help the weight loss work even quicker...i've gained 5lbs!! i 2 weeks???? What's with that?? I can only pray this fitness DVD which is killing me (did it today for the 2nd time and it hasn't killed me as much as it did on Saturday, yay!) is going to shred..which it promises to do!

    Hmmpfhh!

    Miserable from just outside Watford!

H - I don't agree with this drinking litres of water each day. Some peoples bodies will just hold this water and it will add lbs. I don't even believe it's a healthy thing to do, our bodies are not designed for this volume of water - beer maybe

Not a lot, I find it difficult to get that excited about some of the players who will no doubt be putting a weary leg forward.:(

I've just bought an old fixed exercise bike for the depo for me and the Mrs. I still play 5 a side but it ins't exactly fast pace in this heat. Maybe the bike is the answer...still I smoke like a chimney and drink like a fish and am not in bad shape...30 is still soon to come though !!

Listen to the words of the wise ones - keep that up and you will be in bad shape, and a lot sooner than you think. I did when I was just past 30, and managed to extend my sporting activities considerably - another 15 years of football and played competition squash for 20 years. Ditch the ***s and cut back on the booze! ;)

i don't understand a diet that can work perfectly for 3 months, plateau for 3 months, and then start going the wrong way :(. I shall persevere, but this is getting tougher and tougher. Still, the exercise is finally starting to get less hard (I won't say easier, it'll give you the wrong impression!)

Just a thought but maybe your body is happy where it is and doesnt want to lose anymore weight, Most of us tend to get a little heavier than we were at 18:)

You need tol shock the body and not let it get used to a regime. The key is also timing food just after exercise.. Water weight added is not necessarily bad, you must be hydrated for metabolism to work. I've lost 5Kg in 4 weeks, its too fast really but its working the heart in the cardio to VO2 area and cutting back and timing calorie intake.

Aberdeen is correct ,but sometimes after you have been on a long diet your body finds its ideal state where it is happy ,sometimes its unhealthy to try to fool it!
It strikes me that these days a lot of fit athletes are keeling over ,maybe heart probs ,maybe other genetic problems , I guess what I`m trying to say H is that sometimes its unhealthy to be too healthy.<confused>
