Your like me though mate we generally don't have set hours as in Mon-Fri 9-5, when there is the opportunity to go to the gym regualrly and eat at normal times. When I am on day shift I am up at 0530, I have cereal or porridge, around about 9 a breakfast bar then a banana a bit later. lunch at 1230ish work dependent. I do not get home till gone 7pm when then I have to prepare my evening meal, so there really is not time to do exercise in the evening. I leave the house at 1715 for night shift so I take my tea with me and have it some time during the evening. I get as much exercise as I can during my stand down during the week at the weekend the gym is heaving and due to my arthritis I cannot go for a run or a hard cycle as it does my knees in. Swimming is my favouite exercise but the pool closes at 9am and just sometimes I like a lazy morning
Tonight has been worrying me all week...tonight i was out for a chinese meal. It was delish...i had duck without pancakes and with cucumber and spring onions. And then the restaurant made me something off the menu, just chicken and pak choi with ginger...and i drank gallons of water...i just hope the chef didn't put anything in the chicken that i shouldn't be eating..it's all about ketosis you know! Fingers crossed i survived, coz Monday isn't far away!
I have decided due to a serious football depression that I am going to be the first casualty of this diet and am going back to beer and comfort food until as such time as we have a proper football team to support again !(just hope I wont be 48 stone by then!) and for that reason I`m out!
Well, it was with some trepidation i got on the scales today, and lo and behold...a good loss for the first week! 6lbs! I know the first week is almost always good because of water loss, but i got quite excited, having had chinese on Saturday night! So...onwards and upwards, and 2 - 2½ stone to go yay!
Well done H, keep up the good work!!! Managed to do a 6 mile run again yesterday, knee is slightly sore and calf muscles certainly remembering the hill section!!!
Check you skinny malinky (Scottish term) Well done you keep up the good work I hate nights as it is too easy to comfort eat todays hour in the pool would have gone a long way to offset anything which may have been eaten But at least I can hit the pool/gym all this week till I start back on shift on Friday
I started a couple of weeks before the rest of you, been going to gym for a month now but only a couple of days a week, worked up to the program I was given now. Have either corn flakes or porridge for brekkie and go out a couple of days a week for 3 or 4 pints(you can do it if you limit it NWH) Jumped on the scales at gym yesterday, gone from 93kgs to 89kgs, that's a loss of about 9 lbs in a month.....I'm feeling quite smug!! Come on Norway if I can do it anyone can.
