A Christian pastor who was arrested after he preached from the Bible said yesterday he had been treated 'shamefully'.

John Sherwood, 71, was led away in handcuffs, questioned in a police station and held overnight after being accused of making homophobic comments outside Uxbridge Station in west London.

This story has me on the horns of a dilemma. I am an atheist so having to suffer preachers from all faiths shouting at me in the street about whatever nonsense their god and good book says irks me considerably. On one hand I applaud the Police to acting on a complaint but on the other would they have the balls to turn up to Speaker's Corner and do the same to Koran wielding arabs doing exactly the same thing?

On the other horn, does any religion these days have the right to condemn poovery? Are we going to face a time when The Woke call for the Bible to be cancelled because of its outdated views on women, poovery and having a w.ank? Islamists can't even stand the thought of someone drawing a cartoon of their Prophet let alone be mocked for being a peed who rode a magic unicorn to heaven.

If you are a Christian who believes that the word of god is contained in the Bible and everything in it is true and how you should live your life then what do you do when faced with the current situation where same sex couples can marry and the rights of the individual are more important in today's society than the word of your creator?

I may not like religion but I do believe in the right of an individual to express free speech. I wish the nutters down Oxford Street shouting at passers by that the word of their god must be followed would shut the f.uck up. Hence feeling conflicted as they are only exercising their right to believe in whatever they want and say what they want.

But what if you are a poove and some Imam or Pastor says their good book thinks you are a sinner and therefore condemned to hell because God/Allah thinks shoving your cock up another man's arse is wrong?

It is a two pipe problem for sure.

What we need is to challenge and reject all forms of oppression including the state and religion. Only then will libertarian autonomy be ours.
 
The police should go to Mosques every Friday and round up all the imams preaching homophobia to their brainwashed followers .

Or alternatively force them to sanction LGBTQ tolerance and force them to marry gays lesbians and all the other alphabet people .
