A PhD student has hit out at Mr Men books because a female character was unable to grasp the simple concept of the Forth Bridge Shelby Judge, 24, read a conversation between Mr Clever and Little Miss Curious in which he sighs when Little Miss Curious struggles to understand. Ms Judge, who studied women’s studies for her masters, said that he should be re-named Mr Mansplain.

‘It’s the very definition of a micro-aggression. Some might say “why are you making a big deal of this very small thing?” ‘But it’s an example of these tiny things that build up to create a whole patchwork quilt of sexist iconography that every child of any gender is going to internalise.’

Maybe she didn't have time to pick up one of the other 30 or so Little Miss books, none of which contain anything other than the same low level morality tales as the Mr Men books do.

Perhaps she could start her own ones instead "Little Miss Butt Hurt" "Little Miss Snowflake" "Little Miss Bulimia" or the classic "Little Miss doesn't need a Mr Man, she's got a turkey baster instead"

Apart from the photo which looks suspiciously like Saint Nick likes butt plugs I was positively fuming over this story

A Plymouth mum took to a social media group to discuss a children's Christmas book, but was "shamed" in the comments for failing to give Santa a gender neutral name. She referred to the jolly Christmas figure as 'Father Christmas' but many people criticised her, saying that 'Santa' is the preferred gender neutral term.
Speaking to
Plymouth Live, the anonymous parent said she feels "on edge"' since posting in the group, saying she doesn't want to offend anybody by saying 'Father Christmas'. The mum said: "I've just been shamed [on a Facebook group] for using the name 'Father Christmas' and [told] that 'Santa' is now seen as gender neutral.

Santa is gender neutral?

Get. F.ucked.

The woman is just as bad for "feeling on edge since she posted." Not as if the people were her best friends like you guys are on here.

ATTENTION WHORE ALERT

https://metro.co.uk/2019/12/12/driv...ing-attitude-test-confronted-warden-11771082/

A woman who parked in a disabled bay without displaying a blue badge has hit out at wardens who criticised her attitude. Gabrielle Davies, 25, left her car for two minutes to go and pay for parking in Wrexham, north Wales, on Tuesday morning. But as she returned she saw the wardens writing out a ticket for her so started filming them, telling them she had a blue badge.

"So feckin' what?!" I hear you cry. Just another Metro story about someone getting a parking ticket and making a complaint against over-zealous wardens. I'd agree apart from the fact that this photo accompanied the article.

She couldn't have found a photo of herself without showing off her cleavage? Not that I'm complaining, defo Wid.

Good Morning Britain viewers have been left fuming over a debate about classifying ‘nerd’ and ‘geek’ as a hate crime. Things got heated on today’s instalment of the breakfast show as Dr Sonja Falck explained people with high IQs are a minority group and are subject to ridicule.

During the debate, the psychotherapist suggested terms such as ‘geek’ and ‘nerd’ should be termed a hate crime, similar to racism and homophobia

Yes, because having brains is just as problematic as being a darkie or taking it up the sh.itter. Good grief.
