Mattel launches a black Barbie in a wheelchair

At a time where people are pressuring big brands to be more inclusive, Mattel – which has previously been heavily criticised for its limited offering – has decided to expand its popular doll range. Earlier this year, the brand launched its first-ever Barbie in a wheel-chair and with a prosthetic leg, and now designers have taken things a step further by creating a black Barbie with natural hair in a wheelchair, so that no girls or women feel excluded. Other past additions include a hijab-wearing Barbie, as well as a range of differently shaped dolls to reflect real body types (and move away from the brand’s original Barbie who sports an impossibly thin waist and humongous breasts).

Not sure if this Barbie is also meant to be a Lesbian or if they are going to have two poove male dolls called Neil and Bob. I haven't seen the "differently shaped" dolls so not sure if there is a fat ginger Barbie, sorry body positive Barbie. I'm now waiting for Action Man dolls to come with bad tattoos and a beer belly.

A mother has lashed out after she failed to win a toy despite putting £100 into a claw machine at an arcade. Cheryl Holden, 34, wanted to win the teddy bear for her son, Ashton, who is five months old, while on holiday at Camber Sands Holiday Park, East Sussex. The machine cost £1 for four goes but after pumping nearly £40 into the machine she complained to staff. She claimed that they looked at the machine and adjusted a setting then on the next go she won a Dumbo cuddly toy. Cheryl claimed that the staff member adjusted the machine’s settings again immediately after. But then she wanted a second toy for her child so put another £60 into the machine over the next few days.

There is a saying that a fool and his money are soon parted. There is also a saying that a f.ucknuckle thick chavvy pram-pusher and her benefits are soon parted when trying to win a toy worth 50p. Not as well known a saying granted. Thick bitch.

Seems a bit harsh to boot her off the flight just because she's got a decent set of tay-tays.

 

I just hope this mild mishap and slight setback (only f****n' joking) to her career does not spur her to take some tragic and disproportionate course which might mean she appears in another of Grove's educational and enlightening conversations!
