No need to Google anything Diego old chap. In my post I said DC and Marvel are revising characters to suit modern day sensibilities. If you re-read my post at no time did I mention the Marvel or DC cinematic universe. Comics are affecting the films and vice versa, you're all good.

I started collecting comics in 1981, decades before the age of the modern superhero films. Back then Spiderman was one of the von Trapp family ffs! Batwoman is now a lesbian, Captain Marvel was actually black in the 80's and the door is open in the films to introduce black Monica as a future Captain Marvel as she's the daughter of Carol Danvers' best friend with the hint that they might be queer but never going so far as to confirm it. NorthStar from Alpha Flight takes it up the wrong 'un now but he was a professional ski champion in the original comics so not so far fetched to make him a poove later on. That and he's Canadian.

I would add that after the burd de jour said it was childish that a man in his 20's still reading kids comics so I stopped collecting in favour of oral sex on tap. Kept the collection for years thinking it would be a tidy little next egg the longer I held on to it. Turns out the collection wasn't even worth what I paid for it, sold the lot for a few hundred quid when I was expecting thousands.
