We'll both be fine. Hopefully you'll have rid of Kinnear. That's an experiment that did not work out.

We are both spinning the roulette for me. The worry for your lot will come over the next 4 games. Obviously you get Arsenal next on a high. Then a Sess inspired WBA. Then strengthened Liverpool on form, likewise Man U. If you lost all 4 much will depend on the atmosphere.

Us on the hand are an injury away from Shola.......

I hope Sess inspires West Brom like he's been inspiring us!

The next four games kind of feel like turning up to a blind date and the 22 year old model you're supposed to be meeting is Joe Kinnear.

We deserve to be relegated. Total shambles of a club from the very top.

    Don't think we'll be relegated, in fact, I don't think we'll struggle.

With the same squad we have now, with the pressures of Europe, we struggled but survived I think now we're going to probably have a run of the mill season. Setting up for us being sold either this year or next. If what I'm saying comes to reality, and the owners we get are decent it could be one of our best seasons yet! <laugh>

Agree with this, disappointing as this window has been, I'm not willing to write us off. We have a strong core group of 14-16 players plus some decent young backups with the likes of Dummet, Haidara & Campbell etc.
Doing basically the same amount of business this window doesn't mean we will be as poor this season as last, in fact I'd be astounded if we were.

In theory those january transfers should start hitting an upward curve soon as they all get a concrete formation
However if that involves gutes on the left i fail to see how we'll score goals.

I think if we ARE relegated this season, I would put it down to the teams management.

The fact is, the Newcastle squad, is more than capable of sitting in the top ten. Signing players for the squad we have isn't of massive importance, because we have a strong core group of players, some of which could be playing in the world cup!

Cisse and Remy could work very well together. On the field when it comes to passing and movement, in a lot of ways Remy is a better player than Ba. Who in a lot of games ran around the pitch like a headless chicken and swung at things. Remy is a good signing.

I'm sensing a lot of the fans scorn isnt from the actual strength of the squad, its from the fact they're jealous of teams less financially secure as us, panic buying. (Everton, West Brom, Sunderland etc)

No its the fact that we are all aware the squad needs strengthening. We were told the squad would be strengthened. It hasn't been.

It is just frustrating that we are so close to being able to say "this squad will steer us clear of relegation comfortably, regardless of injuries"

I'm glad you are are so super confident of a top 10 finish. I think you are underestimating the importance of attacking options, the impact injuries can have and the strength of other teams in the 9th-20th bracket.

None of my business and, tbh, I'm not really one for football finances as many people seem to be be.

But, is the fact the Newcastle don't own their ground a problem when trying to find a buyer, does it make any difference?

As I've said I'm clueless so don't attack me for asking.

Think it is important for the fans to get behind the players, bad atmosphere could/will hinder the performance.

okay then, nothing to do with us having a DoF appointed that did, literally, **** all. In fact, remember that he cancelled Douglas's move, keep in mind Remy's been a dead cert since before Kinnear even arrived and that he sold Perch and you honestly can't see why anyone would be angry.

if panic buying is bringing in Lukaku, Mccarthy and even Barry then sign us up

So now we have a Cisse that can't score, A Remy that worked wonders for a team that got relegated (oh and his injury proneness) and a manager that would evidently rather play Ameobi than Gouff as a striker and i fail to see how anyone can make out people are overreacting at our lack of transfer movement in the window.
