It's Mark Douglas claiming we're in for an AM. Probably nonsense but we'll see.

It's the Andy Cole situation basically, he's been a legend for us on the field, but he's left to progress with his career. Cole handled it far better though obviously.

Things have been handled well here - Woltermade and Wissa in with Isak and Wilson out is a good turn of events considering Isak was refusing to play and Wilson is a walking disaster. A big difference to when we sold a free scoring Andy Carroll on deadline day and replaced him with Shefki Kuqi.

Yep, totally agree. If you look at our strikers (Isak & Wilson) over the past two seasons it breaks down like this:-

    upload_2025-9-1_13-4-46.png

Woltemade and Wissa will take time to gel and find their feet, more so Woltemade but between the two of them and comparing to Wilson/Isak i'm fairly certain we will see better numbers all round, possibly not this season but from next season onwards for sure.

There's always the Jan transfer window as well, hopefully we're still in the CL by the time that comes around and we can strengthen further. We need to keep what we've got fit as well and also try and work on the discipline side of things to cut down the amount of games lost to suspension, most of which are all as a result of stupid ****ing petty fouls, the standard of reffing and VAR never helps but we do seem to put ourselves in postions of giving officials decisions to make quite a lot.

If you throw enough names around, sometimes you might get one right.
