If we're completely honest he left just before we played Celtic. I don't know why anyone's arsed now because we've had a month to accept the situation. Woltemade was his replacement, so only Wilsons remains today. Will we get Wissa, Larsen, one for left field, or nobody?
No. Juventus talks broke down apparently. Probably nothing in it, but the same rumour monger (they'd like that name ) was right about Woltemade signing before the news broke that evening. They were also saying Isak to Liverpool was done a few hours before Edwards confirmed it.
I really thought the likes of psg or the big guns would’ve come in for Isak if he was available. Canny believe he’s going to them
Aren't arsed if he leaves as long as replacement is through the door today. Am arsed if he's allowed to leave for £125m with no replacement coming in and ratboy not being told to put in a transfer request before he can go. Paying that cnut any sort of loyalty bonus to leave is unacceptable
We will see, but I think the toon only spent 200 million pounds knowing they would accept a late bid from Liverpool. Wissa and Larsen could both happen, but I'm not going to lie that doesn't really hit the spot. We'll be better off if they get some quality in... The foundations are never ending and we're desperate for the next level.
Woltemade will be a good signing But we have gone 2 seasons with only 1 striker really, Wilson has been appalling, so we need a second desperately
It's the prinicle of the whole thing that gets to people. He's got what he wanted doing the wrong thing and breaking a moral code. The lesson I leaned many years ago is that there is no real connection between players and fans like there is from fans to players. The approach is to say **** Isak, see who comes in and realise he hasn't won anything yet. The battle on this goes on.
We're in for a day of being linked to at least 3 or 4 exciting players, but then the club will announce it's closed for business, and people will start acting like we haven't spent 200 million plus.
£130m is a ****ing steal for them, how ironic being mugged off by a bunch of scousers! I can’t imagine there is a single person connected with the club who will wish him well. I hope his ****ing acl goes whilst he’s away on international duty. Can’t blame the club really for putting an end to this saga, it will have hung over us right up until Jan and dominated press conferences and the next transfer window. Bit gutted that we haven’t stood our ground and held out for the reported £150m for him, I’m sure won’t have agreed the deal without having something else waiting to be announced, whether it’s Wissa or JSL or whatever but we’ll see what today brings. Feeling very bitter about this all if I’m honest as I’m sure are a lot of fans. The **** ain’t going in my fantasy team that’s for sure.
Be interesting to see the club statement when the deal us officially announced. "Alexander Isak joins Liverpool for an undisclosed fee." He can **** off with any thank you and wish well for the future nonsense.
I’ve been saying this for weeks. I think the deal was done weeks ago and that we just needed to get a striker in first. That happened and as such the deal got concluded. Those people who thought PIF genuinely were going to let a player sit in the reserves…… Those people who thought he would be professional and reintegrate………. Time to move on.
It's a great fee. Only concern should be getting a decent replacement in in time. I'm probably more annoyed that Palace signed Yeremy Pino for £26m . He would've been a great signing for us to make. Probably better than spending £55m on Elanga.
