Time is a funny thing. If you'd said a month or two ago that we would definitely lose Isak, then I'd have been devastated.

Now it feels like this could be the genuinely transformational window we were all hoping for BECAUSE we sell Isak.

We all knew we'd need to sell big, one day, to be able to really kick on with financial regs. I just didn't think it would be quite yet.

 

Woltemade is a number 10 type more than a striker type.

 

We're after a creative attacking midfielder type.

I said it a couple of weeks ago that I was relaxed about the Isak situation. The sensible thing to do was always about selling him for as much as possible and reinvesting it in good young players.

Isak is a rat. We don’t want rats at the club. He’s let everyone down and I believe there is no way back.

It enables us (if we get 140m) to spend 4-5 times that amount. That’s a lot of players.

There will come a point when we won’t need to sell players. But we will move on from Isak.

 

Isak will be the last big name player we sell for a while.
I'll say this now - He wants to leave because he wants to win the Champions League. We have as much a chance as Liverpool do as they really are not that great.
