Mitchell had no idea what a decent transfer set-up looked like, knew the writing was on the wall for him as soon as he came in and wasn’t liked, so immediately started doubling down and building a narrative to cover himself; what kind of professional would have made the statements he did rather than quietly work as part of the team to improve what he thought was wrong - none would. He’s one of those people that had lucked their way through but reached the end of his bluster…. he’s the bloke who then raises a grievance that he’s been bullied/ostracised and tries to get everyone on his side … Roy and GG have (for now) bought his bullshit.
