I don't think he's a bad guy.. We have to remember players leave clubs for bigger moves. He left a club to come here, and we never implied he was a bad person.

It's just he knows Newcastle aren't quite what he can be at and his careers short. It's now or never possibly for him, so I don't hold it against him.

My attitude is ok well **** off then, but I do actually understand why he wants to go. Get 3 or 4 in and he'll be Yesterdays news soon enough.

It's the rules that I'm fed up with, not a person's attitude or personal goals.... He deserves to play at the very top, Newcastle are years away, and might never get there.

This is why people should respect Bruno more... He's one of the few that genuinely loves it here.

Isak when asked about leaving" I don't think about that all I can say now is I'm happy at Newcastle" it's a politicians answer.

Bruno when asked if he's leaving "I'M STAYING"

I’ve said a few times I’m actually not that bothered by this news if it means we can have a full rebuild and get 3-5 top players in.

The sale with hopefully it being upwards of £140m would unlock our spending potential.

The only thing I would say on that is that he could have told the club early in the window.

Then we could have maybe spent the money on the players we missed out on because we where haggling like bitches to “get a deal done” as others on this very forum have suggested we do.

It is now a terrible window thus far with 1 in and 1 out and our best player wanting away.

The club at board level needs to get a grip and we need to act like a big club not pretend.

I can see us pissing about here and trying to be clever with Isak and failing miserably.

Howe has to much control at the club aswell. Let’s lay that out their once and for all.

I'm actually excited at the prospect of having a huge spend and who will come in to replace Isak.

Perhaps Newcastle have known and prepared for this.. There's not many clubs left looking for a striker, so Newcastle might have a free run at the market with the most cash at their disposal this window.

If Newcastle lose Isak and buy Sesko Wissa scalvini and a few others we're going to be better off. It'll freshen everything up around the club and in the dressing room... Takeover wave 2 incoming.

I ain't going to cry over one player... He's going to be done in 5 years anyway.

I’ve been keen on many things over the years… Charlize Theron for example.

While Sesko is excellent, I can’t see it. If others have struggled with his wage demands, this stinks of a project that would have skinted me in a similarly devastating manner had I been able to bulb Miss Theron on a 5 year contract.

I'm beginning to think Newcastle can get him simply because it's unlikely a big 6 club will ever come for him now.

The tweets are coming in with reposts and thats usually a sign of progress and indications it's going well.

It's a little odd, but I suddenly feel excited about the prospect of what can be done with probably 200 million plus available this window and beyond.

He's basically maxing out their credit card and if he wants out, their debt will be a big big issue.

Same. Acceptance phase that Isak is away.
Bu then thinking what we can do, within the PSR window with effectively a £500m spend possibility from Isak alone.

It's annoying and we'll have the piss ripped out of us, but that could work in our favour down the road. It's possible we get the last laugh.

I'm actually sensing some potential in it and we should draw the enemy on sheepishly I feel.

Gk, Cb, two CF's and midfielder with the Isak money.

    Signings that improve us.

We'll be a better side without him.

The concept only works if they're the right players though. If they sign any old ****e we could simply become the next Everton.

It's a vital juncture in the takeover.

DCL for free would work if we got Sesko and Wissa imo. If the order was DCL Wissa Sesko it won't matter either, but people would flap.

Yeah a reminder Mitchell has left and Howe has an odd amount of control for a football club in the modern era.

And with an impotent Mitchell and Howe having supposedly to much power last season we won our first domestic trophy in 70 years and a CL place.
    Viva la difference.

Precisely, if Isak goes, its all about who we then bring in.
AND Lascelles taking one for the team at the appropriate time against The Victims.

Look on the bright side. Maybe the whole dithering on transfers was because there was doubt about Isak and until we were sure what was happening we felt it best to hold fire. The loss of him and the subsequent additional funds available to us would have a profound effect on our transfer strategy.

This for me too. Spot on mate.

I've nowt against Isak wanting more than we can offer right now, both in terms of salary/benefits and prospects for league / CL titles. He's a top quality striker and you can't blame him for wanting to play in a very top team. We are not there yet.

He did help us win the cup and qualify for CL, so fair play. I'll always remember that.

Yes, if he genuinely wants away then it's "well fook off then", but not in a vindictive way. Just a case of if you want to go, then go.

And yes the anti-competition rules are the issue here. Saudis have ambition but we (and other clubs) are not being allowed to do what the big 6 have already done - in the name of 'fairness'.

And yes, Bruno is a different breed. He loves the adulation and he knows the love he gets from the Geordies will be hard to replicate elsewhere.
