Good we should walk away. Let Liverpool and Ekitike waste this.

He’s making the same mistake he made when he went to PSG.

    He’s clearly a glory hunter.

Joelinton can snap him on 25th August so that he's out for the season.

Yeah, that video shows it perfectly. He's skillful but lacks pace.

Good player, would likely do well for us. Will be expensive and a comparatively short term fix (turns 29 soon). Sesko, who also looks a very special player and is only 22, would likely end up costing about £10m more, if that.

Why are people losing their minds over this? Ekitike would be great but not an essential signing as long as Isak stays. Get a CB in and I'm happy with the squad. 2 players for every position and cover across the board. If we can then chop out the dead wood and replace any second string players like for like it'll be a great window.

How much do you think we should bid for him?

"Bayern Munich offered £43m plus £4.4m in add-ons and a 10% sell-on clause to Stuttgart for Germany striker Nick Woltemade, 23, but the bid was immediately rejected." (Sky Sports Germany)

Yeah, Stuttgart would probably take a lower fee from us for Woltemade just to spite Bayern much like we'd probably take less for Isak from Real or PSG just so he doesn't sign for Liverpool.

Maybe, but perhaps not for the £60+m that Brentford seem to want for him. Too short term / lack of sell on opportunities for that kind of outlay.

He'd be a good signing for no more than about 40m.

Wissa would be a poor signing IMO, we are just not in a position to keep wasting money. He'd cost around £50m and playing second fiddle would be worth around half that in a year.

There are countless names worth taking a punt on. Look at Chelsea, likely to get a profit on Jackson, Madueke and Nkunku in spite of none of them being particularly great. We seem to be oblivious to the fact that with Gordon, Tonali, Elanga, Bruno, etc., most attackers in lesser teams are going to do well. That's kind of the point of scouting, not finding players who can do it on their own or who stand out as such, that's not scouting at all.

He doesn't seem to be the sort of mercenary Mbeumo is, and is Prem ready at least, depends on wage demands.

£50m contract for 5 years, so £10m a year, could loan out in the last 2 years and recoup something. Would be a decent fix right now imo.

Yeah rather go sign a 18-21 year old to play back up to Isak and rotation with Osula than a wedge on Wissa. Just get me Scalvini in, Guehi, Thiaw, etc. would also suffice.

Exactly this, we need depth across the squad - surely we've learned from the last UCL failure?

Mentioned elsewhere, Leipzig signed a replacement (Burkhardt) about 10 days ago. They know someone is leaving.

They're all ok tbf, just not fully shined at Chelsea....the likes of Mudryk, Badiashile, Sterling, Disasi, Gusto etc are hilarious examples of the more common theme of Chelsea being a shambles at signings. Madueke in particular I think will come good at Arsenal.
