Trafford, Scalvini, Gallagher, MGW, Elanga and a striker.

Imagine that.

 

Wouldn’t want Gallagher. He’s over rated. Hasn’t set the Spanish league on fire by anyones estimation.

Not that keen on Gibb-White either. Also way over rated.

Trafford, Scalvini both yes.

Striker would depend upon who.

 

Better than Longstaff though....

 

I like Gibbs-White - probably over priced than overrated in my eyes, but I don;t see where he'd fit into our team. Gallagher coud be a good rotation option in midfield... He;'s a better fit than MGW. I don't rate either of them that highly to be honest.

 

Could be but that shouldn’t be the threshold. Especially at £34M never mind over £60M.

 

Just pay it. He’s as good as Botman.

 

Especially if we are after Gallagher for the same money....

 

Gallagher is about £30m according to Spanish reports. They only paid £36m for him I think.

 

Said the other day reports of between £32m-£52m for the lad and I'd snap their hand off at the higher figure. Forget everything else if we get him and Elanga in and nothing else happens that's a very good window for us!

 

Ok that seems more reasonable but I'd still rather Gibbs-White than Gallagher at those prices.

 

Honestly think this is just typical summer time press speculation. Could well believe Eddie thinks there's a player in there but this just seems to be an offshoot of we're open to selling Longstaff so lets chuck names in the mixer that play in midfield.

 

I think I'd rather spend a little less on some of the good U21 prospects (yes I know you shouldn't go on Euros form) but Javi Guerra looked so good in that Spain midfield

 

I don’t think Gibbs-Whyte is a player we need. If we add to our midfield I would be looking for a passer. We have plenty of work rate there but are missing someone who can play a really penetrating pass.

 

Don’t get me wrong - don't want either of the personally as we have quality three for there and good back up but if we are after a CM I’d way to refer MGW over Gallagher even for twice the price.

 

Has the club sacked all of the Comms team? I'm sure we signed some chap named Elanga about a week ago.

 

I reckon all the media related stuff with Trafford has been done and are waiting to see if they can announce a double signing

 

And Scalvini?
