Are you really trying to claim that they they didn't ? If so what was the reason for the Spuds' excuses about him 'jumping out of the way' when he'd clearly dived ? Bale earned his reputation as a diver, he wasn't just 'singled out' by ref's by random chance. I don't deny that Arsenal players have done it, but you trying to claim that it's an 'epidemic' at Arsenal is utter bollocks. Also your insinuation that 'other' clubs get away with it whilst presumably your innocent players at Spurs get punished, simply smacks of paranoia and Tin foil hat syndrome.
Nice story involving Gerrard and Gazza. https://books.google.co.uk/books?id...a=X&ei=hRbVVI3kEsbP7Qb4n4DgCQ&ved=0CCUQ6AEwAg
Spurs fans accepted the fact that Bale dived. Claiming otherwise is simply idiocy. Arsenal players consistently dive and consistently escape punishment. Bale was booked more times than any other two players put together, yet the likes of Wilshere goes down if there's a stiff breeze and gets away with it. Perhaps it's hard to see him doing things, despite it being bloody obvious? Wenger's claim about him not smoking would make more sense if this was true.
You'd elbow people too if you were made to live in Middlesbrough! It seems that Gerrard now associates elbowing people with being a good player, unfortunately.
I don't think that you're surprising anyone by pointing out that Gazza did some stupid things. Copying the stupid things isn't the way to go, though. You wouldn't grow up liking Bruce Grobelaar and then go out and fix matches, would you?
I always wonder how many Brucie slyly let in and that we would have won a few more pots if he wasn't as bent as an Arabs dagger.
It wouldn't have taken many back then to blow a title or a cup, either. Given Mignolet's form, has anyone checked up on his finances? I always wondered about this game: I prefer to think that he didn't throw it, but he did concede a Rosenthal hat-trick...
Apart from the ones who didn't of course and claimed that he was 'jumping out of the way' of a tackle. Or are you denying that Spurs fans ever claimed that? Also your claim about Wilshere is bollocks too, more often that not he takes heavy tackles and doesn't get given anything.
Which tackle? Which time? What a vague claim. He dives all over the place! He's terrible for it. The only reason that you're defending him is that all of the other players I mentioned have admitted it.
So you are denying it ? You don't recall the excuse from Spurs fans being used that 'Bale doesn't dive, he simply jumps out of the way to avoid the tackle' ? You're either completely deluded or being totally disingenuous.
I didn't say you did, I was asking you a question. You either deny it, which is bollocks, or you agree that Spurs fans made an excuse for him when he was blatantly cheating.
Seeing as I didn't make a claim either way, as I have no idea which time you're talking about, how can you accuse me of being "either completely deluded or being totally disingenuous"? You're failing to make any sense. Again. You, on the other hand, are doing exactly what you're saying is A Bad Thing. Defending Wilshere, who dives all over the place, because you think he gets fouled a lot. You're the very definition of a hypocrite.
Stop trying to squirm You said 'Spurs fans accepted that Bale dived. Claiming otherwise is idiocy' So do you deny that Spurs fans also claimed that he didn't dive but 'jumped out of the way of tackles' ?
