3 wins should do it, against Spurs, Hull and Stoke and a lovely relaxing game at the cottage against Palace with no pressure to finish. 42 points..........Boom!
a big ask now, but its still possible, I thought it was out of us and Norwich who stays up, now its any 3 from 5, bloody sunderland, if we get 7 points that should do it,
We needed 4 wins out of 6, with any bonus from the other 2 games. Remaining 2 wins are vital, and an extra point just for comfort. Still a big ask. As to the rest, its a melting pot of unpredictability. - Chelsea have been highy unneighbourly by losing to Palace and Sunderland, and have to play both Cardiff and Norwich. - Arsenal still fighting and have both Norwich and West Brom at home. - Sunderland have to play both Cardiff and WestBrom. Which means 36 points might still not be enough for FFC ..... or we squeak through with just 34 points. Glass half full - COYW!!
Maybe it's just me, but it's been a very strange year in the EPL, not just because ManU tanked, but the spread between the "good" and "bad" teams has been so stark. At this late stage, half the EPL teams are not safe from relegation. From Crystal Palace up, teams are safe. From West Ham down, teams are in danger. Seems to me that during most years, there's a relatively even sharing of the points, but this year the top four teams have the nearly the same number (296) of points the bottom 9 teams have combined (298). And just as no team has gone out and grabbed the EPL title by the throat, no team has completely given up and acquiesced to spending the next year in the Championship. I've been following the EPL for about 11 years, I just can't remember a year like this one. It's been interesting, though.
