Skin was caramelised. The inside was just right. Borderline just about cooked. Did on a low ish heat on the bbq.
Baked spuds, local cheese and corned beef for tea ... with a side of broccoli... looking forward to it ... simple, but hits the spot
Tescos ... but in all seriousness, been researching how to make your own .. and will give it a try ... broadly, brisket, brine and some picking spices then add anything else as you fancy ... some recipes look ****ing awesome...
I like cornbeef with baked spud, and plenty of butter or in my case olive spread. Not the canned stuff though, you can buy it also with no added water, which oddly don't look as good has the water added stuff, but tastes perfectly fine.
Potentially a bit dry, though no issues with the constituents. Going for a walk soon when it's cooled down a bit. Landlord at my local has chosen the hottest day of the tear to decide he's got covid, so no sitting in his secluded beer garden drinking cans and spliffing. I shall return to sausage, mash and onion gravy
We go to France every summer, so I have acquired a taste for French butter, slightly salted ... it's like butter used to taste when I was a kid
Drinking beer out the back, builder starts next week so will rip up the decking on Friday. Step closer to the BBQ.
Had a couple of lagers when I got home, can't ignore evenings like this. Failed in my no weekday beer quest for this week!
Garden is a mess now. Ripped up the decking, builder starts Tuesday. We can have beers out the front but that seems a bit chav.
