Certainly not BBQ weather here, sipping on a rum and one of those fancy mixer coca cola things, the herbal one. Not bad as it goes.

So garden all done and BBQ ready to go. Decent weather tomorrow so will give it a run out.

Had an awning put up so able to sit outside today and have a new beer to try. Beer O'clock is 4pm will report back then.

Nice beer but not as good as the California IPA.

Always found Asda to have a good selection. And Morrisons, although not been to one for ages.

    Sainsbury's is **** for beers.

So tried the using wood instead of coals thing and completely failed. It just went cold.
It was windy and that may well be part of the problem dunno.

So chopped up some logs into chunks lit it with some kindling and it all looked fine but just burned out quickly. Anyone done this wood only business? I could do with some tips?

And I don't mean "buy some self lighting coals" y'****ers.

Soft wood burns quickly, you need to use hard wood.

Burned away pretty quickly and then went cold. There were big gusts of wind that flared it up often, may have been that.
