Well I don't think I'll gamble on Verstappen any more.... With the Formula 1 season nearing its end, and Renault's factory focus on developments for 2018, it has elected against producing any brand new parts for the final races. Instead, it has adopted a policy of using reconditioned items to get it through the final events of the year – as well as instructing its teams to turn down their engines to help reliability. https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/horner-renault-scrapheap-challenge-engine-980701/
its a pure vettel v hamilton choice. TBH this track might suit vettel more as ferrari in the lousy sections of this track might be quicker. It will be very interesting to see if merc reduce the wheel base next year.
One last time, as we finish the season of a maximum of 4 PU units per team. On to 3 next year, which I have a sneaking suspicion may cause a few issues. But how could the powers that be possibly know, they'll be totally caught out by the issue I'm sure. please log in to view this image Assuming there's no changes exactly half the field has made it with just the 4 units. Bit of quick maths, Overall PU average = 4.78 ICE = 5.15 TC = 5.65 MGU-H = 5.80 MGU-K = 4.2 ES = 3.95 ES = 3.90
I'm hoping to do a Raikkonen 2007. If that's possible. It's worth a punt on just voting for whomever nobody else votes for, and hoping. Like a team resorting to a very outlandish tyre strategy and hoping for a safety car.
