Dear God! When are you going to accept the truth? He is not playing a game. He hasn't signed his contract because he wants to be at another club. Whilst I am certain he would jump at the chance of playing for United, I doubt that they are the only club who would be interested in him, that his agent must be talking to a handful of other clubs. A quality player like Nasri who is refusing to sign a new contract will have alerted every vulture-scout out there, and there will be a queue of suitors all vying to catch his eye. How ever much you try to explain this, the very clear indication is that Nasri will be gone. My argument has always been that it isn't so much the fact that you are going to lose so many players in one Summer - a day that, in time, will come to be known as The Great Arsenal Mutiny - but rather the fact that some of your best players no longer want to stay. Something clearly is not right at the heart of your camp. How deep does the rot go? Are you happy that the rot stops at these players? Or does it not concern you in the slightest? If you are too afraid to argue these points in a sensible manner, I strongly suggest, for the sake of your own health and sanity, that you never again tread these pages; fore within these posts, and in the coming weeks, new horrors lurk, waiting to be unleashed to test the sensibilities of the poor, frustrated Gooner.
I could accept that but for the fact that losing Fabregas, Nasri and Clichy will severely weaken you. Not only that, it demonstrates to the whole world that there is a cancer at the heart of your club, that it cannot keep three of its best and most influential players. What does that say for the future of your club? Why would any other player of quality want to join your club when it can see, as we all can, the unhappiness of two of the world's finest young players and their great desire to get out? Please, for once, remove your rose-tinted spectacles, look at the true extent of the troubles that face you and your club, and give me a reply that has at least one foot grounded in reality.
Given it a rest, Michigan. You're boring and soon to be blocked. Are you really this desperate for attention? Last comment from me, by the way.
Well, it certainly seems to make you feel better saying that. But, of course, as we all know, you don't believe it. Otherwise, I wouldn't get so deep under your skin.
Don't you mean "prosaically-written myopic rubbish" or something like that? It would be more grammatically correct to phrase your argument in that fashion.
Hey, guys! I know that someone has already posted a thread about this, but this is the article that is currently doing the rounds on TeamTalk.net:- (start of article) Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby has been quoted as saying that he owns and wears a Tottenham Hotspur shirt. France international Diaby has risked incurring the wrath of his own Gunners fans with the statement. The report suggests that Spurs defender Younes Kaboul gave friend Diaby the shirt of Arsenal's bitter North London rivals. Diaby said in The Sun: "It's more difficult to wear in the street. There you are not safe." The 25-year-old went on to intimate that he would consider making a switch to White Hart Lane in the future. He said: "It would be good to play for the same club one day." (end of article) I love the bit where he says that he doesn't feel safe wearing his prized Spurs shirt in the street. What's the betting, though, that in the secrecy of his own home he kits himself out with the full strip; and then, perhaps, puts on a bit of gansta rap, and struts about his bedroom wiggling his ass and rubbing himself? Please, someone, explain to me what the hell is going on over at The New Library?!!! I have never, in the whole of my days, ever seen anything like this!
Allow me to respond in kind, Stating an opinion is what these boards are for my friend, im just as entitled to do so as are you. Im interested to know when exactly when you discoved your power of clairvoyance, either that or you must be close friends with Nasri and know exactly whats going on in his head. My point is there are many reasons a player might not sign a new contract and yes your answer is indeed one of them but i wont submit to the fact that thats it done and dusted and he is off. That seems a little narrow sighted, are you not willing to accept their are other reasons as to why he hasnt not signed another contract as yet. Ok so Fabregas wants to go to barcelona, yawn we all know that fair enough boyhood club been here ten years id say he has done his job. Nasri, If he wants to go then yes he will be missed but its not the end of the world. A couple of years ago eveyone stated we would collapse due to a certain Henry leaving, ok we havent won any trophies but we havent exactly been in a relegation battle either, we are consistently in the top four. Who else of our top players are you referring too? You seem intent on WUming as much as can be, and you do nothing to detract from that age old saying that if arsenal didnt exist spurs fans would have nothing to talk about. Fact of the matter is this, despite this supposed rot you have foretold we are in the champions league AGAIN and we have finished higher that you AGAIN.
Walnut with a light sabre... Let's get this straight. I am not wumming. My article was written on the Spurs board, for my fellow Spurs fans to comment on. How can that be wumming? You are perfectly correct, that there could be any number of reasons why Nasri has not signed a contract. However, it is my opinion, based on what he has said to the press (not what they have said about him) and based upon the fact that he has not come out and denied being interested in moving elsewhere, that he is looking to engineer a move away from your club, and to United, in particular. And it is not the fact that Nasri is holding off signing a contract that I say your club is in trouble. As I have stated on a number of occasions (in this thread, alone), the reason why you club is in so much trouble is because there appear to be so many of your players looking to engineer a move away from you: Fabregas, Nasri, Clichy, Denilson, Bendtner, possibly Arshavin. And now you have the embarrassing revelation that another of your stars, Diaby, dreams about moving to Spurs (to follow in the footsteps of Gallas, who Whinger tried to keep at AFC). Please, don't even begin to try to tell me that there is not something rotten at the heart of your club, or that you are not worried for next season.
You know, I think I may well be doing all of my posting over at JA606, from now on. They have their quirks, but at least they don't ban me for voicing my opinions. See y'all!
I believe in your previous post you said top players, in you little list there, only two spring out, as for diaby, fine take him no great loss to us, all im saying is wait until the transfer season is over and the pemier league kicks off before uttering your doom and gloom speculations. And yeah ill admit im worried about next season but im sure most fans are barring the mancs of course. Im sure you have some reservations about your team do you not? Seems to be a lot of chatter about modric.........must mean hes moving by your logic
