Toleman were one of my favourites as a lad. Firstly because they were local as was Derek Warwick and because of the under dog factor too. Two great race memories for and Toleman: 1. The infamous Monaco Grand Orix in the rain with Senna catching Prost so they stopped the race. 2. Warwick at Brands Hatch, getting the Toleman up to second place before the engine blew.
And another team that did not treat their drivers like superstars . Warwick & Henton , good hard working drivers ( DW more talented I think than BH ) . Remember when Senna said he was leaving to go to Lotus ? They suspended him for the next race .
Ah the Tolemans were like lorries. What Senna did with that thing at Monaco was nothing short of absolute genius.
I was 13 when Tyrrell came out with their six wheeler - that's the kind of thing that impresses so much at that age; I loved it. please log in to view this image Vin
Anyone remember the Willams 6 wheeler or the March? I have a couple of scalextric versions of the 6 wheeler March.
Imagine if the rules were MAX budget , but do what you want . ( Safety first ) . 6 wheel Tyrell & Williams , double chassis Lotus , Brabham Fan car !!!!! Bagsy first dibs on Penelope Pit Stop !
You probably know , but he owns this place & I am pretty sure he has all his cars here as well . http://laverstokepark.co.uk/

Uncle Ken sadly doesn't own anything any longer, being fairly long gone. Their factory down in West Horsley was the first F1 HQ I ever visited back when it was friendly & family run that ruled the roost, rather than the somewhat more corporate beasts the teams have become now.
I have it on my "most watched" video list here on the laptop. Whenever I get bored with F1 (most races) I put it on and marvel ..............
Seriously jealous. Have only been to one GP - Monza back in 94. That was great, but these days I'm put off by the prices and the fact that most of the races are pretty boring. Would rather a GP2 or Touring Car race to be honest - though I wouldn't turn down a cheap ticket to Monaco
Just on the outside of Redgate, the first corner there. I have NEVER to this day been as cold and wet as I was at the end of that race though!
