Intense stuff. Lots to love, one or two thing that I didnt like....Still easily the best show on TV. Now to wait a whole ****ing year :(

Also welcome to show watchers. You have now reached a point where book readers can no longer make smug preening noises and drop vague hints to show you they are further along. A part from maybe 1 or 2 rather minor plot points and background information everyone is now on par.

That's very clever. Poor old John, I think popular history has given him an undeserved bad name!

Unpopular opinion alert, the world that GRRM has created is extremely good, but the actual books are unreadable, and I doubt he will ever finish the next one. Just forget about them and enjoy the TV version for what it is.

I haven't seen any of the TV series, so have nothing to compare the books against. However, I have started to read the first book, and I am finding it engrossing, and very enjoyable. About a third of the way in, and favourite character by far is Tyrion, the dwarf ( well I'm ony 5"6 myself so......)

I should have clarified that the first one is not bad. I gave up in number 4 (I think?). I am also about that tall...

Book 4 was the worst - a lot of people wandering around and not much happening. The last one, though, was probably one of the best. However, I agree - enjoy the TV series, it's extremely well done ..........

Holy ****ing ****. Poor Jon Snow. :( Have to say Cersei's punishment was epic and so richly deserved. I think it was pretty obvious a leading character was going to be killed off I just didn't know which one.

Not to mention Stannis of course. Plus poor Myrcella, Sansa?, Theon?, and of course Arya being struck blind. Not a good episode to be a Stark or a Lannister!
