Just one of the reasons I will never ever go abroad on a bank holiday…the French just gear themselves up for it.
Because of people throwing personal insults around on there. I have deleted the offensive posts but I'm sick of it and am having a private conversation with Chilco about what is going to happen next. It will reopen at some point but not until the issue has been sorted.
I couldn’t take prolonged periods of heat, especially if I was still working. I’d just hibernate with fan for company. Today is great…perhaps a degree or two more warmth.
Got bored so starting scrolling through my phone reading various tweets. Have to report that the rumour that Americans speak English is grossly exaggerated.
Anyone watched Turkish Detective. I binge watched it. No sign of second series which is shame. Istanbul was fascinating location.
I worked in Istanbul about 12 years ago …..I was there for 2 weeks, unfortunately I had to work all the hours that god sent …..so I got to see very little outside of the Honda site and hotel. Also Instanbul was under 2 feet of snow which was a shock.
Following on from my son being stranded in Corfu, he was put on a white RAF A330 troop transporter plane last night, which got him into Manchester at around 04.30 this morning. Sadly his car was at Bournemouth airport. The runway at Bournemouth can handle a plane as big as the A330 but for some reason it wasn’t allowed to land there, which meant that he then had to be coached down to Bournemouth. There were delays in the coach leaving Manchester airport, owing to 20 suitcases being missing, one belonging to my son. After giving the passengers paperwork to complete, to make a claim for lost baggage, the cases were found. They were still in the hold of the plane and had been missed by the ground crew. Bournemouth airport didn’t charge for the extra 2 days of parking, which was decent, but from the time he was collected from the Corfu hotel, adding in the delays when waiting to board, waiting for the lost luggage, the coach to Bournemouth and driving home to Chandlers Ford, his journey time was in the region of 18 hours. Still he’s home.
Look at the lovely pussy cat killing the poor little bird for fun. People really love their cats. I really love the little birds. I love birds more than I love murderous cats.
