It sounds as if the sub is still intact as I can't imagine what those banging sounds would be other than the crew members making the noise, especially as they're coming in 30 minute intervals. So it really has become a race against time now.

People say that circumcision doesn’t hurt, but I disagree.

I was circumcised when I was born and I couldn’t walk for over a year.

Assuming the debris is from the missing sub then at least the 5 on board didn't suffer. Would have happened very quickly.

May sound harsh but it's hard to feel much sympathy for those on the titanic sub. Sad for the families of course but it's hardly an unexpected outcome.

Not enough people respect the power of the ocean imo. If you enter the lions den then you can't complain if you get bitten

The one person who I may have sympathy for is the 19 year old who may have been encouraged to go by his father. But you're right, the ocean is a brutal place. I don't think people respect the water enough full stop TBH, whether it's a lake, a river or the sea.

Especially in a carbon fibre tube that needed no official testing or classifying because it was 'experimental'
There's a reason that humans tend to get inside a very strong sphere if they're going deep, rather than a sports car

Not harsh at all imho .

I have a lot of sympathy for the three passengers and slightly less for the Specialist .

Considerably less for the man in charge ( also the owner of the company ) .

My saddest thought though is that IMHO the bloody thing should not have been anywhere near the Titanic .

I was really excited when Robert Ballard and his crew and their French counterparts found the wreck .

I was given the book by my parents and I found it Fascinating .

I was also quite excited when a crew went down and took very detailed pictures .

BUT I feel only teams like that or legitimate scientists etc should be allowed anywhere near the ship .

it is a memorial to all those who died & loved ones who lost partners .

The other thing that genuinely saddens me is why oh why does it always seem to need some tragedy before others will take notice of warnings given ?

it’s made a lot of carbon fibre ( radar can’t pick that up )
It had no scrubbers in the air system to at least remove some of the carbon dioxide .
I know that nothing could have been done to save these ooor souls , apart from make it out of Titanium .

but hopefully you get my point .

It didn’t even have to be certified FFS .

    *** AT LEAST THEY DIDN'T SUFFER ***

Another classic incident that should never have happened was the launch of the Space Shuttle Challenger .

    O rings , O RINGS FFS

The coastguard has confirmed at a press conference that they discovered the tail cone 1,600ft from the hull of the Titanic.

This then led them to a debris field which had the end of the pressure chamber, which then led them to a smaller debris field that contained other parts of the pressure chamber.

The pattern/nature of the debris is consistent with having an explosion caused by an implosion of the internal pressure chamber on the descent.

They're continuing to search for debris.
