Oh that reminds me of yet another story about our cat who went to live in the flower shop. A few years after that incident, she eventually became old and frail and developed a tumour on her face which was obviously painful. The vet said it was probably malignant, so my parents took the horrible decision to have her put to sleep. Later that day, we were sat around our kitchen table feeling miserable. It was summer, and the back door was open, and suddenly a black Labrador walked through the door, went straight to where the cat’s bowl was still full of water, had a few laps of water, and walked out the door again. We had never seen this dog before, and never saw it again.
Just read online it's a thing that cats often do before they die; just go off alone. Supposedly to limit the chances of being eaten by a predator while they are weak. F*ck it makes me sad just thinking about it. But, also kind of makes me smile; they live their whole lives pretending like they are living out in the wild. Totally pampered, yet they think they're tough, haha. Sorry that you didn't get a chance to say goodbye to him. That's a heartbreaking thought for any pet owner.

I'm afraid not. 10 days now so not expecting to see him alive as he was on 5 medications twice a day and he wouldn't have survived long without them according to his cardiologist. Thanks for asking though, it's been a tough week but I'm sort of accepting he's gone now
Sorry to hear that SC. I am still feeling raw 3 months after the passing of my gorgeous girl dog and really feel for you. Take care
