A bit of happy news in this mad world . Remember him ? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-highlands-islands-57267470
A woman walked up to an elderly man rocking in a chair on his porch. “I couldn’t help noticing how happy you look,” she said. “What’s your secret for a long, happy life?” “I smoke three packs of cigarettes a day,” he said. “I also drink a case of whisky a week, eat fatty foods and never exercise.” “That’s amazing,” the woman said. “How old are you?” “Thirty-six.”
Just tried to watch Stardust, the rather controversial film based on Bowie (that was refused by his estate and family, doesn't contain his music etc etc). Lasted four minutes until he gets to the customs official in the States before turning it off and deleting it in disgust. It's like a bad Noel Fielding sketch.
It sounded like a complete turkey, thanks for the warning. I’ll give that one a miss then. Only reason I would have watched it is Johnny Flynn, who is normally great.
I wonder if it crossed her mind while they were standing at the altar making their vows that he is a proven liar, and has previous in not keeping his promises ??
A bloke on a tractor has just past me shouting “The end of the world is nigh!” I think it was Farmer Geddon.
I have always liked old railway history. Here is a video by a guy called Paul Whitewick who is normally joined by his wife Rebecca and they are attempting to visit every closed railway station in the UK. They also do old abandoned tunnels and viaducts and abandoned canals. Anyway this video is about Southampton and I found it interesting so I thought I'd share.
