Further to the birthday thing, my lovely daughter has bought me tickets to see The Temperance Movement at the O2 Academy in Bristol on the 16th. One of my favourite bands around at the moment, and introduced to me on this very board by TSS. Can't wait!
Still waiting for the Redan to reopen (New Year!) so off to play at the Open Mic Night at the Sheppey Inn, Godney, out in the wilds of the Somerset Levels. That is totally brilliant, thanks Jasper!
One of favourite ever songs....."My heart is going boom, boom boom" gets me every time. You on the Scrump tonight, Chilco?
My digestion can't put up with it these days sadly! I'll see what ales they have on and stick to that I think. Save the whisky for when I get back!
Been to see Mr Turner this afternoon.. Stunning, visually exquisite, a biography with enough wit and drama to engage, but on reflection you could watch it with the sound turned down and the music of your choice and still be enthralled.. Pour me another glass..
Really want to see that...annoyingly films are always one week late on the Island. Can understand when they were on actual reels of film that had to be passed round, but not the case now. Turner has always been a favourite of mine.
Happy Birthday mate. Don't forget to tell me how that went, after you go. I get the impression from my experience of the band is that they might blow your socks off. Anyway, enjoy this evening.
