I do enjoy a bit of Steven Colbert. He has so much material to take the piss out of Trump but does a fair job on the democrats too
To be honest SiS, I would have been really pleased if you had commented on the main theme of the post, not the throwaway bit.
One person put it very plainly: Well done to all involved. Metaphorically, this is what we could achieve globally if we “all did our bit”. Excellent job @GlastoFest please log in to view this image . And to all the unsung heroes. Indeed, well done.
Large eruption on Stomboli Island: One person died from a falling rock and another was injured: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-48857422 It's still going a little bit too. I'm looking at it LIVE and it just did a big bang and lava came out. Here's a look at the vent from yesterday and today:
When are these volcanoes going to think about the environment and become electric or at least Hybrid.
It has been suggested that it was volcanic activity that caused the fall of Rome (amongst other things). American volcanoes produced a cloud of ash that blocked the sun for over a year in 540-ish leading to famine and an outbreak of plague, culminating in successful invaders from the East taking over..
Oh dear. I've just experienced 'dried hot chilli' eye for the umpteenth time. Some of you will nod sagely. Others will ask what the bloody hell I'm on about. If you have jars of spices, as I have, you may have some whole dried chilli in your collection. Occasionally, I'll sprinkle one onto whatever savoury thing I'm cooking. Then the trick is to WASH HANDS THOROUGHLY. Which I do [not] every time. Yes I wash them, but it only needs one tiny particle. Then the next trick is to get an eyelash tickle or something. One rubbed eye later and you're leaping out of the chair, up the stairs, into the bathroom and bathing your eye until you know it's all over. Sometimes it takes bloody ages. This is my dried chilli life.
