EXCITED!!!!!! Just booked the flights to Napoli for my 50th Birthday in Late Aug/September. The home city of my late mother - not been there since 1986! Going to take in Sorrento and the Amalfi coast too. SO EXCITED!!!!!

Update on my 50th (I know you all are on tenterhooks!) Return flights were booked on on Sunday to Naples. Today Mrs No7 booked 3 nights at the Excelsior Hotel...thanks to @fatletiss & @Onionman for that as they will both know it is where Tony Soprano & Co stayed in the Sopranos 3 nights in Positano booked too, so just Sorrento to sort out CAN'T WAIT!!!!!

I might have to go to Fort Lauderdale in an emergency as my brother in law has just been rushed into hospital there. I’m trying to complete an on-line ESTA, but they’re insisting on a point of contact (person) in the US. I can put down where I’m going to stay (I’ll just book a hotel) but I don’t know anyone over there who I could put as a contact. I might try and find someone I used to work with, but I was wondering if anyone has had this before, it’s a very new one to me, as I don’t remember having to put it there before!
Sorry to hear that Dave. I always have been able to put down my daughter, but I know that once, one of her friends when they visited put down a hotel as the place of residence and the hotel as the contact - even though they were staying with her. You get a pretty much instant decision - I think with a UK passport you are pretty safe to get it instantly.
