My mum was one of 9! When her last surviving sibling died the funeral was packed with cousins, second cousins, third cousins, and even a fourth cousin. I remember looking around the wake at over 200 people, most of whom I was related to! Scary!
We had blood tests done after junior school and GCSE results. It’s like a miracle. Darwen wouldn’t believe it, but it’s true. He’s mine Ps. You’d think maybe it’s from his mum, but she married me so that cancels that out.
Goes in as an apprentice but will study with them too, so gets his degree that way. Chuffed for him. Just need to think of a way that I can claim the credit now, but I’m struggling on that.
Congrats to you and your lad. Exciting times ahead! Funny I always thought of your son as being about 14 when you’ve talked about him, but that’s probably because I’ve been on here since 2012 and he was that young at some point. Time flies, even on the online world!
I think Darwen would believe it. His famous relative Darwin though may dispute it Seriously, congrats and having met him a few times, I can say he is a credit to you and the lovely Mrs FLT.
Leaving Neverland has just blown away any last lingering doubts. Anyone else watching it and feeling a bit sad.
Well, part two has just made me shed a tear for the first time in, well ages. Hope you are burning in a specially reserved place in the pits of hell Jackson. Scumbag.
I think what has upset and angered me the most is, I kinda always gave him the benefit of doubt. I never understood how a parent would let their child get put in that situation, so it always seemed to be people wanting to make money off the back of the claims. This abuse story kinda explains that away.
The parents were groomed as well...over a long period when everything just seemed above board and the whole family was involved. I suspect any objections were just brushed away and made to look foolish....no doubt they thought the house being full of other people such as staff meant that nothing was going on. And they were star struck undoubtedly. No excuse though for letting a child share a bed with an adult male (if they indeed knew)….that is stupidity on the grand scale. It is very sad that parents now have to be suspicious of everyone...can you trust that teacher, scout leader or sports coach on a trip? That is sad when most are completely innocent and now have to double think what they are doing and how it is perceived...no comforting arm on the shoulder or quick hugs. I remember crying on my second day at school and I was allowed to sit on the female teacher's lap whilst she did the register...that would be a no, no today.
Just found out my 7 year old Niece is back in Southampton General Hospital . Her Leukaemia has come back / never really gone away
Oh Jasper that’s terrible news, so sorry to hear that. Thoughts and prayers with her and your family mate.
Was away last weekend for a mini trip to Menorca. Although part of the Balearic chain of islands it has a quite different landscape with lush green fields where the cows produce the most divine cheeses imaginable. A good time to visit is the low season. Although many places are closed, you will find enough are open. Ciutadella is very charming, whilst Mahon is a treasure trove for anyone intersted in British naval history.
