DTLW: After all, the McCann's aren't even on Twitter, so she can't 'troll' them. They aren't on social media because of the trolling...their 9-yr-old children are blocked from it in case they are targeted. They said they fear for them in future when they will be old enough to ignore their parents wishes. There are trolls talking of kidnap...even if the ones trolling wouldn't do it, it puts the ideas out there. I have always felt that people being bullied on social forum should just keep away, but another part of me feels that is it right that an area important to the young is closed to some. I think that the worst perpetrators should be warned and then blocked from social media (easier said than done I know).
I was reading the paper at lunch and saw a picture of Alan Henning's wife and kids - I found it quite upsetting. Those IS scumbags are causing a lot of people such pain and grief and it really really disgusts me. They're complete monsters the sooner they burn in hell the better.
http://www.oxfordmail.co.uk/NEWS/11...or_action_after_son_falls_from_ruins/?ref=rss Father calls for ruins to be made safe after son breaks a bone whilst attempting to climb 40 foot up an English Heritage ruin. Sorry, ruins are inherently unsafe if you climb....his son took a risk (which kids do) but ridiculous to blame others. English heritage would be responsible if a piece of stone fell off at random into an area the public are allowed, but this was not the case. Like the woman who tried to sue when she tripped over a bit of roman flooring. Take responsibility for yourselves, for heaven's sake.
Have to agree with this. Trolling is a cowardly act and whilst we don't know her mental state all the people trolling can't have mental issues. It's a sad outcome to something which could possibly have been avoided. The police are investigating her and many other trolls to see if an offence has been committed.
Just seen the video of the crash. Poor bugger just couldn't have hit the tractor in a worse way. Horrific.
Yep that's call out everyone that has a different view. What gives a news station or newspaper the right to call people out? They are far worse then 'trolls' themselves. To simply go to her door and ask why she thinks the McCann's did it is mad. Even if she did troll then there is still a way of going about stopping it. No way is going to her house and putting her image on the news. That just gives the idiots on twitter the reason to 'troll' some one else.
Which is the right way to go about it. Not the that's put a person in the national news and let them get trolled themselves. This is about preventing it , not making it easy for others to troll people.
I agree. No idea how her details were released as she was making the comments under a different name like we do. No matter how much I don't agree with what she did she hadn't actually been charged with anything.
I took Fran (and others) advice. Managed to go to the afternoon session, no issues. Just told not to make it a regular thing as they can't accommodate loads of people turning up to whichever group takes their fancy. Just not quite the right first impression, ah well.
Okay, this is a GENUINE Not606 world exclusive! We're not starting to talk about this until tomorrow (it's going to be Artrocker's song of the week and they're putting it up tomorrow)..... But - here's the next track from Fable. You'll need to put aside a bit of time for this little baby, but it's really worth the investment. So there you are. Just for you lot. It might take a couple of listens, but it really gives her voice a platform... https://soundcloud.com/fablemusic/fable-fragile
On first hearing, it doesn't have the same immediate impact as the other two, but it builds really nicely into a quite danceable number (you should have seen me in my kitchen). And her voice gets a great workout: as you say LTL, a great chance to show off her chops. I'll need a few more listens, and it would be great to hear it in a less compressed format and not streamed on to my tiny iPad speaker, but I couldn't find my headphones! All in all, a great listen, thanks. And good luck Fable!
Thanks Chilcs. Yes, it's a headphones best job! I didn't like this one first time I heard it, but now it's my favourite. By far. It's a real grower. Live it's a BEAST too!
Funnily enough, on a high quality hi-fi it sounds very uncompressed, for a compressed format, possibly due to a relatively simple production [I'm all for less is more] Another contrast is that it's the track I most favour, straight out of the box, so far. Horses for courses. I'm sure it wasn't intended, but it reminds me of some early Simple Minds, with the heavy rythmic drum beat, synth, and other spaced instruments and vocal. I particularly liked the isolated vocal. It was very clear in the mix. Good track which will get better still, to my ears. Going to go and check some of that Simple Minds comparison now.
Y Yes, I can see what you mean about Simple Minds. Funnily enough, I thought "Doors" when the third section started, about 6 minutes in, just something about the atmospheric feel at that moment.
