THAT is one of the scariest things I've heard - but then nothing surprises me any more about Trump. If he gets elected (and I still say there's a very good chance he does) I need to decide to where I'm going to move, because nowhere in Europe will be safe when he backs out of NATO and lets his mate Putin march into the Baltic States .........

Russia is fighting a mysterious anthrax outbreak in a remote corner of Siberia. Dozens of people are hospitalized; one child has died. The government airlifted some families out because more than 2,000 reindeer have been infected.

Officials don't know exactly how the outbreak started, but the current hypothesis is almost unbelievable: A heat wave has thawed the frozen soil there and with it, a reindeer carcass infected with anthrax decades ago.

Some scientists think this incident could be an example of what climate change may increasingly surface in the tundra.

There's likely to be more cases of anthrax resurfacing, says Birgitta Evengard, a microbiologist at Umea University in Sweden. That's because climate change is causing the temperature in the Arctic Circle to rise very quickly.

"It's rising about three times faster in the Arctic than in the rest of the world," she says. "And that means the ice is melting and the permafrost is thawing."

"So we really don't know what's buried up there," she says. "This is Pandora's box."

That's like that series set in Iceland with the defrosting mammoth. Had Michael Gambon in it and Sofie Grabøl from The Killing.

    EDIT - Fortitude.

If anyone is interested you can get Sky Fibre for a tenner for life, if you have Sky Sports. I just phoned up and got the deal until 2099....

Yeah, I just called them and they offered me £10 per month on unlimited as I have Sky Sports. Not £10 as a one-off.

Sounds like £10 extra for something I really don't need in all honesty.

Yeah sorry, thought it was obvious I meant monthly. It would be a crazy deal for a tenner for life ha.

£10 a month if you want Fibre unlimited. Fibre speeds are 30mb at least. (Mine is 37mb down and 11mb up).

Or if you hardly use the net you can get the capped version for completely free.

How much do you pay now?

Had fibre via TalkTalk (arrrggghh) and SE for about 2 yrs now. The change from 3.5mbps to 34mbps was hardly noticed really. The one advantage is you can stream in HD with a bit more reliability and I shout at the kids less for being on spotify etc when I want to watch Saints playing on a dodgy site. Still get poor speeds in bad weather, still get occasional glitches in service. Ho hum.
